Car will not start

Just changed the fuel pump on my 86 z28 and turned the key and nothing happened except the brake light came on and the gauges moved. Can anyone offer any insight? Engine is a LB9.

Re: Car will not start

Do you hear the fuel pump when turning the key?

Does it cranks or really nothing happen?

Re: Car will not start

Excuse me for the basic question but are you sure your battery is fully charged? I think not or maybe it's just dead

Re: Car will not start

Yes I am certain the battery is charged because it is brand new.

Please put a volt meter across the battery to confirm its state of charge. Don't guess.

Besides, you'll need the battery at full charge before you start troubleshooting anyway.
