Need some advice/ help!
Car is a 1990 IROC and was Factory stock L98 5.7 ltr 95k miles until below mods
I recently had Trick flow 65cc/195cc runner heads, LT4 hotcam, hooker
headers and y pipe, MSD ignition, and Cloyes Timing set installed and
tuned by a local reputable shop. 20 miles from the shop the power steering went out. Engine sounds great has a bit of a rough idle and is a little jerky because it has the stock stall converter I will address these as funds become available. my issue is the power steering and trying to figure out what could have caused it to fail after theses mods. there was fluid all over the engine bay next to the PS pump and lines I washed it away with water and there was a decent amount which had already leaked on the ground. any ideas as to what may have caused it? bypassed the environmental control and have a new belt with a tensioner. it started throwing a code before the PS went out I and it comes and goes.

Re: Need some advice/ help!
The tune etc should have absolutely nothing to do with the power steering going bad. Are you sure it didn't just blow the line? Pumps do go bad but not really just blow like that...maybe if it overheated the fluid. But there again the tuning will do nothing to affect that.
Check that code and get back to the shop. There may be a problem they need to address.

I thought it may have something to do with the belt or pump pulley not the tune. happy enough with he engine as it sounds great and seems to run strong. they are helping with it I was just trying to get some suggestions. I think the code may be from the headers or cam something not sure.
