Instrument Panel Help Please
Background Info: 83 T/A Lu5 CFI. Sat for a couple of years and I am trying to get it to daily driver shape. Before it sat I remember all the gauges working fine, and then the temp went out, not too much later the fuel gauge wouldnt read right. Then the speedometer needle started bouncing.
Now as far as I know none of the guages read properly, the backlights dont work, and the dummy lights dont work except the brake light (barely). The battery gauge might be the only one that is ok.
I would really like any kind of advice/ starting points rather than go in blind. I also have a Haynes and Shop manual, but they are not always very detailed..
Thank you in advance

Wondering if corrosion may have set in. Corroded ground wire connection somewhere. Is the battery in good shape and fully charged?

No, the battery isnt very good. I've had to charge it a few times the past couple months. Would that affect the gauges?

Re: Instrument Panel Help Please
Sounds like it could be a ground related to the cluster, or the wiring to it. This is especially if the lights are affected as well.
I have also seen where the flex circuit board has cracked before and created an open where half of the lights went out. I made a temporary bridge with a piece of wire for that one, but I don't know how long that lasted though.
