Rpm rises when hot??
Hello! I seem to be having issues with my 1991 trans am with a 305 tpi. when the is turned runs great as the car warms up it accelarates slowly up to 2400 rpm. Clueless as for why! Does timming have anything to do with this?

Re: Rpm rises when hot??
I would doubt the timing is the culprit unless you changed values in the tune (eprom). Sounds to me like a vacuum leak that occurs when the engine heats up, possibly the EGR valve or some other heat related vacuum problem. Check all your vacuum lines for broken or disconnected spots, especially the EGR solenoid to valve hose. HTH!
