305 tpi idling issue HELP!

I have a 1985 Iroc 305 tpi and it has an idling issue it sputters and wants to stall out unless I'm on the gas pedal.. I've checked the timing, all 8 fuel injectors are reading a even 15 ohms. I replaced the fuel pump and filter spark plugs and wires. I've inspected the distributor cap and rotor I've searched everywhere for a vacuum leak and nothing is turning up. Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot! I will check it today and see.. Also no chance of it being a bad egr? I just pulled it and it was stuck open.. I've managed to clean and free some debris and it seems to be moving up and down now

Re: 305 tpi idling issue HELP!

Chances are that the huge vacuum leak created by the stuck EGR was the majority of the problem.

And also I checked the tps at closed throttle it's not giving a reading (should be reading around 0.45 if I'm not mistaken) when I advance it a touch it says 0.80 nothing showing after that.. However it has a steady climb to 4.45 wot with no mishaps

Re: 305 tpi idling issue HELP!

Vader has it about a vacuum big vacuum leak. Check the hoses at the front of the manifold to the rocker cover and to the Carbon canister. They may be rotted out.
