Spohn

Has anyone used the spohn kit to retrofit a TH350 into our cars. It includes their adjustable torque arm which mounts to there crossmember. Looks like a much better then the hurst kit that includes what looks like a crappy crossmember and weird set-up to mount the torque arm.

Any feed back from people that have used it or have an opinion would be great.

So you are saying the spohn set-up is the one to go with.

The spohn crossmember looks like it will hang pretty low. And where exactly does the torque arm mount. The mount in the middle? Will the spohn cross memeber come in contact with the exhaust system.

Thanks

i have the crossmember with out the torque arm mount.
the spohn is well worth the extra money imo.
i bought the hurst first, and when i got it out of the box, my first thought was that the welds were crappy. i dont have a pic of the torque arm mount , but it bolts to the tail housing on the transmission. the spohn is on the crossmember, not the trans. i was going to tub the car, bun now im not, so ill be buying the kit you are looking at. i have seen peices from BMR that are pretty good, and i think jegs makes one.
im just going to keep the hurst for a back up, it can gather dust...

I don't have the one for the TH400, but it looks alot like the one for my T56 I put in and it doesn't hang down low at all, it's maybe a 1/4 inch lower than the stock crossmember.

So it shouldn't obstrust the exhaust then.
