Clutch Down Noise

I have a 1987 IROC with a T-5 WC manual transmission. I rebuilt the transmission, reground the flywheel, new pilot bearing in the end of the crank, new clutch master and slave cylinder, and a new throw out bearing clutch and pressure plate. Right out of the box as soon as the car moves, and you push the clutch in I get this rotary noise. As soon as you push the clutch in the noise stops. Pulled the transmission and replaced the throw out bearing thinking that the new one was defective for some reason. The same issue resulted in the completion of the reinstall. The noise does not happen everytime the clutch peddle in down, but probably 50% of the time this same noise will reappear.

Help, have asked lots of people, but know one seems to have an answer. Is my problem in the clutch or transmission?

Joe

Re: Clutch Down Noise

if you just rebuilt the transmission i would suspect something in there. They are very picky about bearing tolerances
