clutch master cylinder info
well furst of excuse my spelling my first laguige is not english ;-) ...now to the point of all clutch master cylinder drama with 3 gen camaros...i see lot of camaros have the clutch pedal stiking way high versus brake pedal!!! lots of mechanics including me told thats normal sinse there is no ajustmen of any kind to be done to it ,there is no bump stop of any sort ,the thing that tell the pedal where to stay is the clutch master. well turn out i am wrong so i every0ne else...seems like somwhere on the line after market parts produsers did not measure the lenght of the pushrod so what comes after market is about 6.5 inches long versus 6.0 inches long stock...soo half inch at the pushrod makes about 2 inches diference between the pedals...solution is to cut and make the rod ajustable like people here already done...i just felt like clerafaing why cose i see people mess with clutch plates ,shiming and so on and so forth...

Let us know how that works out for you.
I am in the process of removing my master because I am sick and tired of the pedal 2" above the brake. Mine also grabs right at the top to add to my frustration.
I was planning on chopping the rod a 1/2" shorter, welding and sleeving it back together.

I guess i will have to measure very carefully. I do not want it lower than the brake.
How were you able to remove the rod? I am still trying to get the master out because I thought it was inseparable from the master.
Your English isn't half bad.

Re: clutch master cylinder info
u can see on the pic wen u pull the rubber boot up,there will be lock spring or peel tipe lock spring...for peel tipe u need to grab the end with a pik and peel it out the outher style comes out with lock spring plyers...careful pull the rod out behind it is the piston and the spring...the piston should stay in,normaly the spring will not extend pass the cylinder...put some rags underneet just in case...I speak well just my spelling sux =)

Re: clutch master cylinder info
told I should explain better...without disconnecting the rod from the clutch pedal press the clutch pedal with one hand about an inch or so and jam the handle of a screwdriver between the pedal and the bracket up top somewere so it keeps it depressed, that way the only thing at the end of the cylinder will be the retaining lock spring.... after u take it out press the pedal with hand so screwdriver falls of place and slowly relese the tension so the piston stays in the cylinder...now you have to pry the tabs with pik on the little white bushing away from the shaft the slides in...du not use fork to pry it out u will end up braking the retainers
