83 T5 and linkage into 89 T/A
I have gotten a bit dizzy reading all the great posts on conversion from auto to manual trans, and mechanical to hydraulic clutch conversions. I have a couple quick questions.
I have an 83 T5 and Mechanical clutch to put in my 89 auto trans am. After putting the pedals in and trying to fit the zbar, am opting to forgo the mechanical clutch I was given and get hydraulic parts.
I took the pedals back out and am ready to get what I need for hydraulic conversion.
4th gen hydraulic parts seem more plentiful than third gen stuff so im thinking of using 4th gen pedals and hydraulics with a 90 bellhousing. Will this work.
My main questions revolve around the pedals and the hydraulics.
Will the pedals bolt in without modification?
Will the hydraulics bolt up to the bellhousing?
Any other input would be great.
Thanks, Drew

Here's what it looks like.
Might be possible to fab something up; don't know, never tried, but it looks readily possible. Just make sure it's fairly heavy-duty: there will be SEVERAL hundred pounds of force on it at times, so sheet metal and such as that, wouldn't cut it.
Once you get past that, the hydraulics will work.

Thanks for the input. I have a new Bellhousing for a hydraulic clutch on the way. I have read the arguments for 3rd vs 4th gen pedals and I believe the 4th gen pedals will be best for me. Thanks again.
