Clutch selection
I have an carbed 85 model block with a 92 RS w/ T5 tranny, just wanted to get an opinion on what kind of clutch to get. I'm assuming I stay with the application of the car right? And do yall have any suggestions on good decent clutch? Running 450/500hp.
Thank guys

Re: Clutch selection
Clutches are the same for all these cars that came w V8 & T-5.
Doesn't matter too much what kind of clutch you get as far as HP is concerned. How good of a job you do installing it, is the main consideration. You can buy the best parts in the world and do a half-a$$ job putting it in (as in, leave a defective flywheel or pilot in, or put the throwout on the fork wrong, or fail to grease the pilot, or any number of other things) and easily come out with a clutch that doesn't work right. I've used at least a dozen brands of clutch over the years in at least as many cars with universally acceptable results. Meanwhile, the T-5 first and foremost, and then the rear end after that, will protect the clutch from any serious stress. Both of those things will rip to shreds long before any decent clutch will be put to any kind of test.
