Can Anyone Identify This Rearend?

For sale very cheap locally. I'm looking for a posi for my 1986 Firebird and I have no idea on how to tell if this will fit. He said its from a 10 bolt.

Re: Can Anyone Identify This Rearend?

Can't see enough of it to be sure what carrier it is; other than, it's a 2-series carrier with the "thick" gears on it.

Probably an Auburn. Can't tell what size it is though. (i.e. whether it's 7½", 8½", etc.) Don't know Auburn part #s quite like that. You could maybe call Auburn and give them the part # and they could tell you.
