HSR Pictures --> Dial-up Beware.

These are the pictures BadSS took of his new HSR out of the box...

Here you can see what He was talking about, Oil can get all over the Runners

Not a huge deal....

Not a huge amount of Meat there... But if the ports really flow 300 CFM, Do you need any ?

last but not least, Felpro 1206 layed up against there... Gasket match isnt toooo far off, but could be closer.

Thanks BadSS for the Pics...

Looks like a 1205 would work well with those ports. Got any more pics?

wouldn't take to much to fab up an aluminum sheetmetal valley cover to stop the oil splash..hell from looking at the base..theres even 4 bosses that could be tapped to mount one..and its on par with the LT1 conversion on cost and cons, and performance. Hood clearance isn't an issue with my Malibu though, 3 inch cowl harwood hood..

I'm seriously thinking of grabbing one for the shelf, would be overkill on my 305, before Holley gets wise of how popular this intake will be. lol cheers, Bob

I'd agree that you could easily fab up some sheet metal cover so that the runners don't get splashed with hot oil. Looks nice. Big ports.

Hey Doug,
Would it be feesible to make a custom sheetmetal oil gallery splash shield. Do those 4 elevated bosses have enough meat to handle some screws?
