AUG. 10th TOMS RIVER INVASION. North, Central, and South Jersey TAKE OVER!
I posted this in NJ peeps where you at.
Ok i have the best idea in the whole world. Lets make a saturday in lets say 2 weeks a get together down in toms river at lets say 7-8 PM. Everyone from like new brunswick up could meet lets saysome where off the turnpike by route 18 i think it is? Somewhere real close off the turnpike like exit 11 or some $hit like that or exit 9 one of those. we will meet there at like 5-6Pm. Hell if people want to meet somewhere on 46 in Lodi or saddle brook by the staples on 46 west around 4-5Pm we keep picking up cars on the way down and have like 30 40 go down to toms river and show the south jersey guys that he know how to cruise let me know i can arange this better but i would so be all over this.
Feel free to add more or help me find a better place to stop in central jersey that would make it easy for everyone to get to. Everyone up North we all know where route 46 is and Saddle Brook that is where we will meet. Real easy to get to off of route 80 the parkway route 17 and route 4. Post who is going here so I can look out for everyone and know how many cars are heading down with me all the way.

I liked your post better, and it was your idea, so I deleted mine and stuck yours...
How about 8PM at the Super Stop&Shop on RT37 in Toms River?
Lets see some turnout! Tell your family, tell your friends, make flyers and pass them out, post on webboards, shout out in grocery stores, flag people off the road and tell them to come!
Come on DOWN!

I plan on staying there all night if I have to... Chances are that we'll all still be there a couple hours at least, some of us will stay longer I'm sure.

Sorry im just in a strange mood today.

We are going to meet in Saddle Brook not Saddle River. Saddle Brook is much easire to get to then Saddle River. Route 46 West in Saddle Brook there is a Mc Donalds right next to the new Wallmart they opened up. We are going to meet there in the front of the parking lot by the highway. And yea over there would be good. the Cheesesteak state park. You would know better then I would where that is i have seen signs but i have never been there. Exit 123 is the exit for E-town and it take me 45 mins to get there doing 65 with a little traffic on route 9. Oh and i don't think I have ever had a nice and slow drive. I have this thing where i have to see at least 80 on my speedo. lately its been 90 but its cool cause my speedo is off by 10 MPH after 65

Listen to this. I just posted this thread on LS1.com and there are 5 people from there that are going down and this is just from today ther is still a whole week left.
twistidz: yeah, thats what I meant, Saddle Brook.
I'm just saying, we could any speed we want, but if you really want to keep people together its not gonna be ridiculously fast, maybe something around 65. Tolls and whatnot screw things up.
Glad to hear you're in Tim!

i think it's on the eastbound side, where the grand union and rickel's/channel used to be. there's also a mcdonalds right next door. it's on the right headed toward sleazeside from the parkway.

Yea that rest stop after the e-town exit. there area whole bunch of people from LS1.com that are going and meeting us down there or jumping on the parkway when we pass. we have to leave up north no later then 5:30 if we are to make it down there for 7:30 and to meet the central people at 6:30 at the Cheesesteak rest stop. Damn that sounds good right now CheeseSteak. Let me know who is meeting where or if everyone is just going down alone. We want this to big for the parking lot.

Kat
OOO, are we going to se red and kat? Awesome! I sure hope so...
Jims87camaro, are you going to be there? You've got no excuse to not come your from bayville! I didn't know we had another Bayville guy on here, so far that makes 5 in my town alone, plus another ~10 in Toms river and Pine Beach and beachwood...
C'mon, lets keep going, it looks like things are going pretty well so far... tell your friends, your wives/girlfriends and thier friends... stop people on the road and yell at them to come (hey, I did
)
Don't let the fact that you're far away and have to leave early bother you! Remember that this is the shore and it's going to be a little overrun with summer folk so give yourself enough time, jump in your favorite f-body and head on down... hit the parkway and look for the seaside exit (82B I think it is) and jump off, head up 37 and look for the Super Stop and Shop on your right side, don't let the entrance sneak up on you..., head on in and look for the throngs of poeple!
Heck, bring your family... make arrangements to stay in a hotel for the weekend, go to the show Saturday the 10th at 8PM and hang out at Seaside and do touristy stuff! There's got to be a reason why the bennies keep coming back each summer, come down and find out why!
C'mon down! :lala:

I'm with Xeno on this one. I told my freinds grandmother to come down in her conversion van hell its a chevy. she said she might go down for the weekend. at the cheesesteak rest stop i'm going to ask anyone where they are going and if they say seaside they are stopping at the stop and shop damn it!
Get all your friends even if they don't have f-bodies. they have cars right? the more cars the better. have you ever went to a car show or even a even at e-town and seen a muscel car at an import event? Well I did that last year. and i am sure there were civics at the Nationals this year. so it don't matter what kind of car you have, your friends, your girlfriends/boyfriends, parents. Hell i know someone on here that is driving his dads car that he bought back in 87 i think. Whats goin on AL
so bring your dogs but don't let them $hit all over and make a trip after we are done im hitting the board walk for some 3 brothers baby. OH YEA

AL I wish my dad took me to buy a car when i was younger. We really never did anything that is one of the coolest things i have ever heard about a father and son thing. I can't wait to see it
he told me to tell the dealer.."16-8"... thats how much a top of the line Z went for... u cant get a 6 cyl. now for 16,800...but back in 87, that was up there..... anyway cant wait... couple more days...(5) ahh one more time... for everyone that needs to know where we are meeting... its On 37 east (twards Seaside)... Take it all the way, when u see a fudruckers on the other side of 37, start getting over to the right lane.... stop and shop is comin up and the entrance sneaks up on u.... If u see a Micky D's on ur Right.. went to far, but close... we will be yelling at you if u do fly past!...u will see (at least) Xeno, Quing, 1991,and ME with our cars parked.... im really hyped... one thing... do we need name tags?... J/K.... i would thing just puttin ur SN on paper and putting it on ur dash will be good.... the lot is HUGE... trust me... plenty of room.... no need to go down to seaside.... to many people... no where to park.... Also , when u pull into the drive way of S&S,make sure u look to the left... thats where well be...

I hope that it doesn't turn out like the "F-BODY EAST COAST NATS." and have everyone either not show up or just leave rediculously early! I am considering moving back my motor swap to drive over!

Hey you guys, count me in. I'll be there with my son who's an f-body freak. Anyone from central jersey want to meet and ride down together, let me know. This looks like it's starting to get bigger and bigger day by day. If this response is any indication, I'm definitely gonna bring a camera. See ya down there.
This thread gets better every day! I love it! Sn's in the window work for me, I'll go out and buy a bottle of Kiwi's shoe polish later...
Z28chick, it's really easy to get to from the north... since I don't see anyone posting from the south, I'll delay typing out those directions until I have to... or maybe I'll be bored by the end of the post and type them out anyway...
Like I said, from the north, it's super-easy... Hope on the Garden State Parkway, heading south (obviously)... cruise on down and once you start getting down to the 80's exits, get ready... there may be traffic (saturday night, won't be as bad as Friday nights at the shore, so don't worry) you're going to look for the seaside exit, forgive me, my knowledge of the exit # excapes me, but I believe it's 82B, or 81B or something along those lines... Just look for 37 east... I know it's an A+B exit... get off the parkway, circle under it and now you should be on 37, you'll come to a light and Strauss will be on your right, with a Bradlees across the highway on your left... if you go past Community Hospital you're going the wrong way on 37, hang a u-ey... continue on 37... You'll go through another light, past a Pizza Hut (Where I work!!!) and K-Mart, keep going, through another light and there you'll see Pep-Boys on your right... keep going on 37 almost there... get in the right lane... You'll see the big sign for the Suer Stop and Shop, don't let the entrance trick you, it can come up fast... if you miss it just make the next right into the McDonalds parking lot and make another right to enter the Super Stop and shop parking lot... we'll be lined up along the highway... hope to see you there!!!
From the south it's a little more tricky... Directions from the parkway are a little foggy, I don't know some of the intersections very well, but I'll do my best to give you good directions from Route 9... So hop on to Rt.9, and head north... Past Lacy road... keep going... past the super Wawa on your left side they just built about a year ago...... you might notice (I still havn't, I just know it) that Rt.9 will continue on the parkway... stay on the main road that is/was route 9 (meaning don't bear right, just stay straight through Pine Beach... and then enter South Toms river... You'll come to a right hand bend where the speed limit drops to 25 right before an intersection and light... this is the intersection of Rt 166 and Water street... make a right on water street and stay in the right lane... past the next light and on to the curvey bends... through a sharp left hander... make a right at that "T" intersection... now continue on that road until you get to a light, and make a left... after that go through the blinking light, and you'll come to an intersection... that big highway infront of you is Rt.37, and Pep Boys should be on your right... make a right at this intersection (or cut through the Pep Boys parking lot) and then the Super Stop and Shop is just a hop skip and stones throw away... ALTERNATE 'FROM THE SOUTH' DIRECTIONS... hop off the parkway and make your way to route 37 east... look for the Super Stop and Shop and pull in (but don't forget to pull out fellas... :lala: )
See ya there!!!

Twiztid... was that you I saw at Mario's Pizza today? That paint job looks even better in person! I was checking out the eXtreme parked there as I passed, and all of a sudden I see your car on the other side of it. That's one sweet ride.
I'll be coming down Saturday! Even though my car looks and runs nowhere near show quality. Stupid car...
