Hotels/Motels

Hi, if you're interested in getting a room instead of camping, read this post, this was earlier posted by ebmiller, as he got some info on this and he needs your input, so please reply.

Ok people, I've got rooms available but I need a DEFINITE room count when I start setting aside rooms.

I've got 30 rooms in Frederick Days Inn, rates as follows:

Location: Frederick, MD Days Inn Site 06450
Rates: 1-2Adults/$65, 3Adults/$70, 4Adults/$75 plus tax
Rooms: 30 rooms
Guarantee: Deposit equal 1st night's stay plus tax due 30 days prior to
arrival
Cancel policy: 14 days prior to arrival by 4:00 pm
Rooming list: Due 14 days prior to arrival.

Hampton Inn, Hagerstown, MD.

I've got 30 rooms, rates as follows:

"..you requested 10 single and 20 doubles. _Your group rate would be $66.00 plus tax."

First, I need a head count. Then, if you want a room, I will need deposits. I will take care of the room BS but I won't do it with no $$$$.

Let me know!!!!

Ed

Hmm, I thought the whole point of ebmiller posting that info, was so everyone could send Ed the money to take care of hotels .Unfortunately, right now, with college, work, and everything, not sure if I'm going to have enough time to collect for hotels as well.

As far as the earlier comment about me not knowing, I know for my senior prom I had to have my Mom check us in, b/c I wasn't 21. But this past summer, I wasn't carded to get a room, and I don't really look 21, so I'm not sure.

Anyways, hopefully ebmiller will see this reply.

Hi guys!! I'm here..

OK, I've got 90 rooms reserved now, with 30 more available. I WILL post the reservation info tonight..numbers, locations, etc.

Thank you for being patient. If you're worried about being 25, don't tell them!!

Ed

BTW: There is NO need to send money to me, Mark, Paypal or anything like that. Each person will be taking care of themselves with the hotel they choose. I didn't want to be burdened with any of that BS, and the hotels were more than accomodating with my requests. More later.........

Ok guys and gals…here’s the info you need. I also have one more hotel available with 30 more rooms. I will be getting that info out as the need arises…if it does. Anyhoo, the Hampton Inns will be a bit more plush, with continental breakfasts and “better” rooms. Obviously, book where you like. Each quest is responsible for booking his/her own rooms and will be responsible for all calls, movies, etc….you all know the drill. Each hotel has a pool and the Hampton Inns offer workout areas and the Frederick location even has passes to the local Gold’s Gym if you feel the need. I think I gave all the pertinent info, and booking is available now. Here's the 3 locations that are ready to go:

Hampton Inn, Frederick, MD.
800-HAMPTON
301-698-2500
Contact at this location: Kristie Poehler

30 rooms, smoking and non-smoking available.
Dates reserved: Thursday, June 20 to Saturday, June 22
Rate: $76/night plus tax
Mention “3GN” (3rd Gen Nationals) when booking rooms online under “Group Code” and when making telephone reservations. CC deposit of first night’s rate and tax will hold your reservation for the event.

Rooms will be held available until MAY 30,2003, then they will be released to the public. All other bookings will be by current availability only. Room reservations may be cancelled up to 2 weeks prior to event with NO CHARGE on your account.

Hampton Inn, Germantown, MD
800- HAMPTON
301-428-1300
Contact at this location: Lisa Harne

30 rooms, smoking and non-smoking available.
Dates reserved: Thursday, June 20 to Saturday, June 22
Rate: $89/night plus tax
MUST mention 3rd Gen Nationals when booking rooms at this location.
Rooms will be held available until JUNE 3 ,2003, then they will be released to the public. All other bookings will be by current availability only. CC deposit of first night’s rate and tax will hold your reservation for the event. Room reservations may be cancelled up to 2 weeks prior to event with NO CHARGE on your account.

Days Inn, Frederick, MD
5646 Buckeystown Pike
Frederick, MD, 21704
301-694-6600
Reservation confirmation number: 710950756

30 rooms, smoking and non-smoking available.
Dates reserved: Thursday, June 20 to Saturday, June 22
Rate: $65/night plus tax
Mention 3rd Gen Nationals when booking rooms at this location. Rooms will hold 1-4 people (2 beds), book accordingly.
Rooms will be held available until June 7th ,2003, then they will be released to the public. All other bookings will be by current availability only. CC deposit of first night’s rate and tax will hold your reservation for the event. Room reservations may be cancelled up to JUNE 13th with NO CHARGE on your account.

There ya go! See you in June! Any other questions, contact me.

Not more than 20 or 30 miles. Hop on Mapquest or Mapsonus and get the directions. Look on the hotel websites (www.hamptoninn.com) or www.daysinn.com for hotel addresses.

Germantown to Frederick is 23.5 miles from Frederick from Maps On Us,

http://mapsonus.switchboard.com/bin/...c=1/isredir=1/

Stay where you want man, I just tried to help out by doing some footwork for everyone. The Frederick hotels are in the same town as the Nat's.

Anybody up for a possible "roomie" on Fri / Sat night?

I wasn't planning on being able to come, but it's worked out and my schedule looks clear.

If anybody is interested let me know.

I'll take half the cost on the room and I'm up for plenty of beer / tequila.

I got reservations at the ExrtendedStay on Westview Dr. in Frederick. I liked that the room includes a kitchen and was roughly the same price as the Days Inn. Funny thing is I made reservations initially through HOTELS.com but it was kicked back as unavailable about 3 hrs later. Then I tried again through Switchboard and I got a confirmation number. I'm still going to call the hotel and confirm it though.
