ZZ4 with HOT cam

Does anybody know... or can they direct me to... a site that has the hp/torque numbers for a ZZ4 engine that has had the standard cam removed, and replaced with the LT4 HOT Cam?

I'm want to know if it's worth the extra money as the regular cam has a fairly mild duration and those heads should be able to take more.

thanks

I have the zz4 with fastburn heads, it already is supossed to make 385hp and 385 torque and with the hot cam it is rated at 425-430hp. Each place gives a different rating! If you go this route just buy the hot cam and the 1.6 ratio roller rockers. You will save money instead of buying the kit. When we went to do the install last week we had noticed that the springs looked exactly the same! So i made a call and sure enough, the springs are the same on the fastburn heads as in the LT4 hot cam kit! What a bitch, at this point we had already taken off the heads! $30 dollars later on head gaskets and not to mention time, i was stuck with the springs and the parts for the springs. Scoggin-Dickey told me that i would need the kit, and the add on their web site says the same! Not true for the fastburn motor, i am not sure about the vortec heads that come on the zz4, i would check that if i were you. You could save a couple hundred dollars. Just looking out for ya if you decide to do this!

ZZ4s come with aluminum vette heads not vortec's and they should allready have the right springs for the HOT cam.

Thanks E! If you decide to get the hot cam with the motor, don't buy the kit, it was a waste of money! Now i have to sell these parts that are left over.
