330hp 350 Vortec Crate
Do any of you's have or have any experience with the Chevy 330hp crate motor? I can get it for ~$2000 for the longblock so the price is pretty decent. What do you all think?

I used to have a website but I don't feel like paying for the webspace nore do I feel like looking at pop-ups and banners.
When I got the motor a few years ago it was only $1950 , it's a lot of motor for the price. I ended up spending $3000 for the whole swap because I replaced the waterpump with a Stewarts stage 2 and then I invested $300 into eprom burning equipment to keep TBI. 13.8 @ 102 with a stock ANLU eprom is pretty good don't you think for z rated tires . That was with full weight and a road racing suspension.
If you don't want to spend the time to build your own engine then this is the motor for you. Don't even look at the zz4, it's too expensive for what you get and those heads aren't THAT great. They require more porting and compression to make the same power the vortec heads make. Do you think it's worth 35 extra pounds? I don't.

They are hedman ellite headers, big flanges, 1 5/8 primaries, ceramic coated and thick tubing shorties for 259.99 from summit. jegs is the only place that shows them in their catalog. fitment is ok but it is very close to the frame with the flanges, although i hear most shorties are like that. i think they are a great deal tho.
