The hell with it. If these people can do it, so I can I. I'm gonna take a Toro electric leafblower and re-wire it to run off of 12v DC current, slap a filter on it, and call it the Tornadocharger.

Heres some nitrous to go with all that boost.... This is worse than the supercharger!

on second thought..... that would be badass on a moped, or one of those motorized scooters

This line is not designed to have nitrous run through it. It has a tendancy to freeze and crack. This allows the nitrous to spill onto your engine and may cause a fire. How far will the $5 you save when buying thier kit go towards repairing your car? Besides, your driving a car, not a fish tank.
HAAHAHAHAHHH HAAHAH THat is TOO funny!! Just when you thought you`ve seen the worst ever HAHHAAHA

The seller has the option to make it a "Private Auction".

Why would he do this? Maybe to keep people like us from cantacting the buyer and warning him that this is one of the biggest gimmic's around???? I just wish that more people had a clue as to what's going on, so that people like that wouldn't have an opportunity to screw people.....

Well...since no one else picked up on it (i guess no one knows what whippets are) Ill fill you all in Order both kits at the same time after you get the "supercharger hooked up" take the "'nitrous kit" and throw it in the passenger seat. Go to the local store and get some balloons. Take your hot rod out for a test drive and after you realise what a fool you are for buying the "supercharger" take one of the nitrous tanks(whipets) and hook it up tho the "tank adapter with trigger" aka "cracker" take the fish tank hose and throw it out the window. Now open your balloons and hold one over the nossle of the "tank adapter" crack the tank and catch it in the balloon, then take said balloon and inhale its contents huffing in and out of the balloon... Now lay back and laugh at your dumb *** for wasting your money. Those "nitrous tanks" are not legal to sell in all states so i would assume he breaks the law all the time by shipping those to anywhere in the USA.

P.S. I have never done whippets but i have seen some friends do them before, IMO you look and act like a retard to get a buzz that lasts about 30 seconds.

Yeah I have two of those mini nitrous oxide tanks plus a cracker in my glovebox. That food-grade nitrous is better than the automotive grade cause it has no additives(sulfur). But yeah, they are for my engine's consumption, not my own

They are sold for use in "making whip cream"

Do you think it would be too much wind resistance to have someone track time it.

You know, with a guy standing on the bumper with a gas leaf blower and a can of whipped cream. I could bust some mad phat times yo.

Seriously though... I just don't know what to think. I believe the nitrous idea, fogging it into the engine seems to be the norm, but the leaf blower.

I am not sure if I believe it. I know that everyone talks trash about it, but who has acctually tried it? I have detered a few friends of mine from ordering an ebay special super charger, or that freakin tornado at autozone, but honestly I don't know that they don't work...

I wish I had a dyno to test a leaf blower mod. I also tend to believe that an electric leaf blower would have poor results compared to that gas powered one.

Really though, I just don't know what to believe.

Does anyone have actual evidence that a leaf blower is a bad idea.

I just couldn't imagine at some point listing craftsman, or lawnboy as one of my mods.

maybe that new honda 4 stroke 11hp leaf blower would make a great mod for my trans am.

it is too late, and I am beginning to start thinking this idea isn't completely stupid. I need to go to sleep.

I hooked up an electric leafblower to my intake using one of those autometer shift light boxes and a relay. primed it by flipping the switch, and it turned on at 3k RPM. I had signifigant gains when it kicked on.

That ebay thing is crap though.

Thing is you're gonna have a hell of a time running a leafblower on a 12v DC system, when it's meant for a 110 AC system.... But I suppose it can be done

Tornado.....from what I hear, it DOES help gas mileage, not quite sure how, but I have a seriously hard time believing it does ANYTHING for horsepower. Throttle response? Sure, I believe it WOULD increase throttle response. But not power.

Electric superchargers....well, those are just a joke. Itty bitty little bilge pumps, it's hard to believe they can overcome the engine's own vacuum to even PRODUCE extra airflow....

someone on ebay did have a waorking electric super for sale.

it was a standard super with 3 starter motors on it.

it might work for a 1/4 mile, but for street use its worthless.

did you know audi is comeing out with a electric assist turbo!!
it uses a small e motor to spool the turbo so it wont have any lag.

lets just say I'm running 1.6L of pure fury that puts out 68hp@5000rpms and 76lbs/ft@3000rpms. sure the car might only be 2000lbs or maybe sub 2000 by a bit now. but it is still one speedy little pile of molasses.. aka slow piece of cow dung.

but yeah carb is rated at something like 150cfm total for the 3bbl

it is much easier to drive then my rx7 that's for sure. 1100rpms in 4th gear isn't that much of a problem
try that in my rx7 and it bucks jerks and doesn't like it.
and it's one big rc car
