VALVE COVERS?

i will soon be purchasing new valve covers.. i always really liked the centerbolt edelbrocks. but after searching ive read a few horror stories about bad fitment, and not clearing aftermarket roller rockers. my 2nd choice is the moroso's. there die cast polished aluminum. 3rd choice is jegs brand.. anyone have good or bad experiances with any of these. again i really like the edelbrocks. but i will also be running 1.6.rr's.. any info is greatly appreciated. thanx......

Re: VALVE COVERS?

I'm running aftermarket valve covers on my Monte and the only problem I've had (and have heard from others) is that they are hard to get snugged down evenly without a torque wrench.

Re: VALVE COVERS?

If you get tall cover make sure they are the "high bolt" ones they spread the weight out up top. I just ordered comp cams sand cast aluminim valve covers from summit . I always torque tall valve covers becuase of bad experiences (5-7lbs i believe). the last edelbrocks i had were the one with the fake bolts on the top and they fell off the first week i had them, now my uncle has them and sias the paint is chipping off...
