Have anybody tried the PROFORM 2 piece timing cover on a L98 ???????
After the damper was installed and the engine was mounted i realized that the PROFORM 2 piece timing cover its thicker than the original L98 timing cover...so the water pump cant be bolt to the block !!!!
i have to take out the engine and go back to the original cover !!!
i just cant believe it !!!
im posting this to avoid other members to buy this cover or........
do you have any information on how make it fit ?
thanks !

I would contact the manufacturer and ask them if there is a specific water pump you should be running. Icouldnt see production of the part being that far off. My guess is that you need to get yourself an aluminum aftermarket pump to use, and they could probably recommend one made by a company that they own that would fit perfectly.

Re: Have anybody tried the PROFORM 2 piece timing cover on a L98 ???????

i used that POS COVER but never had an issue w/ the water pump....THAT THING IS TRASH THOUGH..I have put many engines together, done a million cam swaps....that thing is cheap, flimsy, leaks like heck, and just warps/bends if you look at it wrong.....if u insist on a 2 piece for quick cam changes....spend the $ and get something better.
