fuel injectors from fuelinjectorconnection.com, great product

I bought some rebuilt injectors from fuelinjectorconnection.com on an ebay auction. They are 24lb blue top's for 85-88 TPI vehicles, for $185 or so. I have had them installed for about 2 months and no complaints, I believe they carry a 3 year warrantly and they claim they are bench flowed. Great product and a reasonable price.

I have bought a few sets of injectors from John at FIC and you are correct they are top notch! I think about 60% of the C4 section on the corvetteforum have bought injectors from FIC and I have never seen one complaint.

I just went to your site looking for injectors for my 5.7L 87 Camaro. Looks like you're only offering 19lb injectors as stock replacements for that engine? I see some nice products, but they don't really seem to be geared towards thirdgen applications.

Re: fuel injectors from fuelinjectorconnection.com, great product

Thank you for your feedback. The site only went up about a week or two ago. We have plenty of work to do with regards to adding more products and specific applicatons., we are hoping that if there is something that people are looking for that they do not see at this time that they will contact us. We have just about any size and any type injector that you could possibly need. Actually if you were looking for a replacement for your 5.7 the 22lb bosch lll's should have been listed. Hopefully we will work through all of the kinks soon. You can contact us at 516-492-6504 or email us at info@southbayfuelinjectors.com we will be happy to help.

Sorry, I must have overlooked the Bosch's. I've been looking for a new set of injectors and am still shopping around. I'll likely contact you before making a final decision. I'm currently checking out FIC's Bosch 3 design in which they have been modified to fit a thirdgen TPI fuel rail without any further alterations by the costumer. I'll discuss that with you when I call. Thanks.

so you buy a 185 dollar set of used/rebuilt injectors when for a little more you could have brand new? I bought a set of these for my 90 vette and paid I believe like 279.00 off the shelf new. Or am I missing something that is specially done on a rebuilt one thats better then buying new?

You purchase from who you feel comfortable with that is fine, but just know that we will be happy to help you and you can contact us at anytime. 516-492-6504.
I just want to enlighten everyone again, there is a post that explains this entire situation regarding this "modification" to the bosch injectors. I am not putting anyone down, lets make that clear. but we sell the exact same bosch design lll's as everyone else. THERE ARE NO MODIFICATIONS TO THESE INJECTORS THAT MAKES THEM LONGER!!
The "modification" is just an "ADDITIONAL SPACER OR ORING" that sits on the outside of the intake which makes the injector sit a little higher so when you lower the fuel rail they will fit perfectly! THERE IS NO MAGIC! Just what should be told as the TRUTH when it comes to selling a product to a consumer!
Please watch for a post from us within the next couple of days. We have been working very hard to resolve this problem once and for all with this issue regarding fitment, spacers, seals, modifications, milling, etc We have developed a "new" version or way to make these injectors "PLUG N PLAY" for the GM TPi rails....and WE!!! are the only company that will carry it as we are the ones who developed it!!!
We will be posting pics to show you exactly what we have come up with before the end of the week.

All I remember about them are they are blue top ford injectors I got from a ford dealer. Kinda remember something to do with FMS on the box or something like that. But they were definitely new I think they were for that svt 302 mustang. I've seen the same new ones on ebay as well. I am not trying to make your stuff look bad in anyway just curious why for a little more people don't buy new or do you do something special to them that makes them better? These work flawless in my corvette with the fuel pressure backed down a bit.

Hey I didn't think there was any magic involved . FIC claims to make some kind of modification to the mounts, but I'm interested in seeing pics of what you have in mind. I can wait a few more days to buy a set in case I prefer your method over theirs. But if you post a bunch of pics of a guy waving a magic wand, I'm going with FIC.

Re: fuel injectors from fuelinjectorconnection.com, great product

My last set of injectors were purchased new from my local hot rodding shop were Ford Racing SVO 24lb/hr blue tops and bolted right in and perform fantastic (after a little tuning to the fuel system).

I've heard too many horror stories involving products that have been "rebuilt", "ordered on-line", and hit with "duty charges" (I'm not in the U.S) or "lost during delivery" to wanna bother ordering such stuff online.

I wanna see what I'm getting in my hands before I part with my money.

I didn't think that you were talking about our product, i just wanted to know where you were able to purchase a brand new bosch 3 for that price. The FMS is Ford Motor Sports. We do not do anything to them to make them "better" than the new. We place our injectors through a lengthy process, so that they will work just as well as the new injectors at a more affordable price for people who do not have the money to spend. If you purchase from a reputable company that takes pride in there work, the injectors will work just as well as the new injectors. So, i guess it is up to the consumer.

Re: fuel injectors from fuelinjectorconnection.com, great product

I know this thread is suppose to be about fuelinjectorconnection.com but since it has kinda already got off topic.....

I have bought the Bosch III injectors from southbay. They work perfect and install just as easy as GM direct replacement injectors. I also sent him a number of PM's on this site. He was more than happy to help me out and answer all my questions.

I understand you clean them and stuff but how do you insure that potential 100k mile used injector coil doesn't fail? Yesterdays and todays injectors were supposed to be self cleaning so why bother cleaning them only to end up with a bandaid'ed potential problem?

I have a 4th gen 120k miles and runs absolutely perfect. So obviously the injectors would have to be self cleaning themselves correct?

I just kinda think considering the time involved with changing them new is the way to go. unless your service would provide a better flowing injector etc.

We do not use injectors with 100k miles our suppliers know which cars to get the injectors from. Our service will not provide a better flowing injector than new, it will provide an injector that will flow just as good as a new. There is no guarantee that any injector whether new or "remanufactured" is going to develop coil failure at any given time. As mentioned in a previous post, after placing our injectors through the cleaning and flowtesting process, we can send them out with 100% certainty that they are in "like new" condition. We test resistance/ohm, and we also flow them in 3 different modes which simulates the way they would function while driving your car. We offer a 3 year warranty on all of our injectors. If a problem develops with one of our injectors, we will be more than happy to replace it at no charge. I do not think that there is any company out there that can guarantee against coil failure...new or used, besides, the "rebuilds" are more affordable for people who do not have the money to spend, yet they are receiving a quality product. We have sold thousands of "remanufactured" fuel injectors and our customers have been very satisfied.

So I posted the pics of the our "new version" of the bosch design lll fuel injectors. We have worked very hard on developing a way to end the issue with fitment and legnth. They are no longer shorter than stock. There will be no need for spacers, milling, additional orings, etc They are "plug n play" for TPi. We are THE ONLY company that has this as we are the ones who designed it. Here are a couple of pics. Let us know what you think

Re: fuel injectors from fuelinjectorconnection.com, great product

Hi,
I am in the process of converting my 350TPI to 350 Ram Jet Intake. I have an older set of Accel yellow/black body 24lbs injectors that I used on the TPI. The engine ran ok, but it always had a rough idle and marginal gas mileage.
I like the Bosch III design, but 22lbs may be a little small for my goal of 350hp. Do you have a some 24lbs of Bosch IIIs or something that would be a better fit. I can use either the taller or shorter size injectors.
Thanks,

Yes we have 24lb bosch lll's in stock. If you are going to be running 350hp you may need closer to 27lb which we also have in stock in bosch lll's. We carry both. You can give us a call at 516-492-6504 we will be more than happy to help.

We are THE ONLY company that has this as we are the ones who designed it. Here are a couple of pics. Let us know what you think
Brilliant mod and concept Southbay, i've just referred this mod to a TPI friend of mine, because i liked the mod very much but he turned me down because he told me that the metal adapter will transfer extreme heat from the manifold to the injector which is plastic, and as we all know heat is a problem for injectors the metal adapter looks like it seats flush to manifold --> this is where the heat transfer will take place to the injector as the adapter also touches the plastic body ...that's why all new injectors are plastic and insulated from direct contact with the manifold with the oring
Well...my friend knows what he is talking about (He has a degree and is a science teacher at the university), He explained me that this heat will cause premature injector failure ! I think this is a good mod but do you have any temperature #s on the injector after your mod versus no adapter ?
The injector will run hotter, guaranteed ! Remember heat is an enemy to injectors and fuel. He also told me that extreme heat in the nozzle can perculate the fuel in the injectors and cause hard starts when hot
no problem when its cool...or so.-
Is the new nozzle affecting the spray pattern ? We would really like a spray pattern test video which would be really interesting
I cannot praise you very much or i will be labeled as a salesman for sure which i'm not just a TPI nut and thirdgen member !
let me know ! cool mod by the way, hats off for innovate something for us the old TPI crowd !!!

Re: fuel injectors from fuelinjectorconnection.com, great product

Thank you Calderone, we have worked very hard on this. The issue of fitment and length of these bosch lll injectors has gone on long enough. Hopefully it will make life alot easier for the "TPi Guys". If you take a look at most all stock injectors, they are all metal...ie: delphi, bosch gen ll, Lucas.

The bottom line is that these injectors were tested for over 6 months and have used them in our own cars before we made them public with ZERO problems.

We stand behind our products 100% and all of our injectors come with a 3 year warranty. If anyone who purchases these injectors with the new mod, has any concerns or problems with them we will be more than happy to replace them at NO CHARGE! YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK!!!

Re: fuel injectors from fuelinjectorconnection.com, great product

Didn't realize this thread was going to turn into another company's injectors. All I can say is that FIC has a quality product at a reasonable price, and I don't make or get any money for saying that. No offense to Southbay, but I won't be buying your injectors due to the fact that you're posting your number and trying to get sales when this thread is about another company.
