keyless entry help

i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on keyless entry for a 1985 camaro iroc-z, this car does not have power locks at the moment so i would also need suggestions on the actuator and the switch to unlock as well. Any help is very appreciated

Re: keyless entry help

If you don't have a security system yet I suggest a Viper or Python. They are both made by "Directed Electronics" and have a very good reputation for being a quality product. I have a Python 460 HP for over the last 5 years now and it works great. Not only key-less entry but piece of mind as well. I payed $100.00 for the alarm and $100.00 for the install. Here's a link to Best Buy. = http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Viper+-+...&skuId=6354777 for the Viper alarm including install.

Re: keyless entry help

if you're on a budget or don't need an alarm, you can also get what I got, the BOA 265B Keyless Entry kit, its also made by Directed Electronics (like the viper alarms). You can find them on ebay for about $20 and its super easy to install (just connect 2-3 wires if you have a factory harness). It also has a remote start but I'm not sure if it works on carburated engines, so I'm not sure what you're running on your 85. If you have an electric hatch release button, you can also hook it up to that to open the trunk through the key fob...
