Aftermarket Weatherstripping vs OEM GM
Anyone have a good advice or experience on aftermarket Weatherstripping companys ??
There are many out there, but not sure if the quality is ther or matches Original GM Weatherstripping.
Some of the main company I found were:
Steele Rubber- http://www.steelerubber.com/
Softseal- http://www.soffseal.com
Metro- http://metrommp.com/
I need to replace the weatherstripping on both Drivers and Passenger side on my 1985 Trans Am.
Any advice of which company or company's are better than the other, that would help out alot.
Thanks
Rob

Nothing beats OEM weatherstripping, if you can afford it.
I have Metro seals on my Camaro and they work great. They are a bit on the thick side but everything settles down after a few weeks.

I have soft seals on mine. I changed mine 2 times so far. Once because it needed it. The 2nd time because we painted may car.
I've had no problems with them at all.

I can't remember the brand, but Hawk's Third Gen Parts sells OEM seals for all the way around your vehicle for between 400-500 dollars. I've had god luck, but can't speak for the aftermarket.
