Armor shield wires ?

Armor shield wires ?
Does anybody have these installed on their engine ? I want to get em because number one, they look cool and second it will keep em from frying on the headers all the time. Does anyone have these ?

Axle/Gears: 3.27
If you get the heat shield wrap that wraps around starters using velcro from Summit, you will have some extra. I cut the extra off and then had some velcro sewed onto the extra and then I could also put that around the coolant fan switch wire. My coolant fan switch and wire were melting from the headers. It was about a foot long piece that I was able to use from the extra I cut off. So I kinda got two birds with one stone there.

I think he is talking about the metal coated sparkplug wires.
If so, they should work but you may get a slight performance loss depending on the condition of your ignition system.
I personally would never run them.
MSD makes an insulator sleeve that works great & you can heat-shrink the ends. Another option is to wrap the headers with thermotech in the areas where the wires are.

I don't think plug wires are important enough for me to feel the difference. I ran MSD 8.5 superconductor wires for a few weeks, then I installed 20 dollar Accel 8mm wires. My ET and trapspeed stayed exactly the same. Now I don't justify paying the extra price for "better" wires
Anyway, I was talking about the Accel Armor Shield wires. Guess nobody runs these huh ?
