Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
I don't know about the one for Camaros/Firebirds, but their claims are usually pretty realistic.
I watched Crank & Chrome once were they put one on a new Corvette w/ the LS1. They did a 'before & after' on their chassis dyno.
They picked up 21 RWHP!!!
I know that a lot of the products they use on that show is how they get paid. But to see actual dyno proof is better than any claim.
Maybe in the real world they would have only picked up 12-15 RWHP, but that's still quite a bit. And they didn't show the torque gains. Those are probably pretty good also.
I think it's worth the money. After all, it's got a 1,000,000 mile warranty, and you never have to buy a new one. Just clean it with the cleaner kit (which is less $$ than a new paper filter) and put it back in.
How can you go wrong with that?

they do make one for TPI
i saw in hotrod mag. that when they coverd the SEMA show in Las Vegas, they showed a fipk for tpi, March 2002 issue.. page 31 it says "Are u a tpi kind of guy?,do you think the industry has forgotten you? Think twice.K&N unveiled a Tuned Port Injection Hot Rod Kit, for folks with both stock road cars and hot rods that will take a tpi engine swap. it'll certainly make more power by relocating the air intake and by increasing the overall air capacity." the kit is shaped like an "M" the mid part connects to he TB and then it bends and goes ove the top of the valve covers. dam i need a scanner!! anyway... SLP makes a cold air kit for third gens.

well got an answer from K&N and they said this:
Dear Customer,
The kit only fits 98-01 vehicles at this time. Please check back in 60-90 days for a possible up date on your year vehicle.
Thanks for writing

cold air inductions definately improve the breathing of almost any car.....
when it comes to a tpi intake especially because of it's already greater lack of air.
but, just because they work doesn't mean you should trust every add or magazine you read....half the adds you see an magazines/tv shows are making money on the deal. dyno shots as well, it isn't hard to fake a dyno sheet. not saying thats what happen on chrank&chrome, but 21 rwhp is alot to gain with just one bolt on; certainly possible though.
remember that most induction systems wether store bought or home made only make the power when they hit your engines strongest power band, so if you have a 400 horsepower car you'll get a large increase as apposed to a 200 horsepower car where you may only see 10-15 point difference. either way they will make some difference.
