Superchip SUPERSHI*

My brother recently got his computer reprogrammed by superchip
He has a 95 Beretta 3100 and here is the deal THE CAR RUNS LIKE SHI* in the 1/8 of a mile it was almost 5 mph slower
I advised him about that and that I was going to get the stuff to reprogram the chip in my IROC, and that we should do the same to his. But he is stubborn and wouldn't listen. Now he has this thing and and now superchip won't honor their 30 guarantee!!!
The guy who vendors for superchip in this area won't return my brothers calls and we only have 7 days left out of the 30. Now not only is he stuck with a bad program he is out $230!!!!!!

88ROC1LE ,

Two things to do W\only 7 days left.

1) Contact the BBB (Better Business Bureau)
2) Write a letter to Superchip and copy the person that you spoke to at BBB. Make sure in this letter that document you had already spoke with the BBB regarding this matter.

Make sure and date these items. Then if you still don't get satisfaction, you won't hear "I never got your call". That does suck when companies try to take advantage of people like this. Good luck!

Car: '91 Formula
Engine: 350
Transmission: TH350 built
Axle/Gears: 3.73
Who is superchip made by? I got a standard Ed Wright Fastchip for my 91 Formula 350 and am happy with it, althought it was a little difficult to install. It plugs in to the old chip and uses part of the old chip too which I didn''t know. My old chip was fried, but apparently the part that was needed was not fried. the old one plugs in at a 90 deg angle to the new one. This makes it difficult to get the new one to seat down all the way because of this big piece of stuff hanging off the side. I took the plastic cover off the old one and that gave me a fraction of an inch more to get the new one to seat and it barely made it. The whole assembly stuck a little beyond the case so I put the cover on and just snugged it up agains the chip assembly. I got about 2 mph faster and .4 sec faster in the 1/8 mile though so I guess it was worth it.

O.k. guys, we got the chip dispute settled after 2 hours worth of arguing. We got all the money back (minus shipping) and they set the computer back to factory settings. It was a pain dealing with them and the worst part is anytime we have to reprogram the computer in his car, the whole computer has to be pulled, not just a 'chip'. Now on the down side, after all this, we get the car up and running close to what it was before, and take the Beretta to the track for sport compact night. I take my IROC for grins. We get to the track(about 30 miles from home) and let the car cool. The car won't start! We couldn't even get it to crank, no dash lights, no nothing. Then out of nowhere the car starts and is missing like a b**ch. We get back home and the next day(we got home about 2a.m.) I show up to check his car. We start the thing and now it sounds like a lifter chattering really loud! We took it to the GM dealer in town and they can't figure out if it is a lifter or if a rod is starting to knock!! We are pulling the heads to check the lifters, but it is showing the same symptoms that my 92 3.1 Cavalier showed right before it threw a rod

Sometimes I think the domestic sport compacts have no hope
