Auto Ventshade Blackouts...
Note that this is for my Camaro and all this was around a year ago...but I figured I'd post it since I just remembered this and never posted on it before.
---------------------------------
I've tried both their head and taillight blackouts and was extremely disappointed in the quality with both. The headlights blackouts, plain and simple, did not fit. Nor did they come anywhere near CLOSE to fitting. There was about a full inch of overhang on the side, and about 1/2 inch of overhang along the bottom. And both were cracked inside the sealed box. I returned them for a refund immediately.
The taillight blackouts fit DECENTLY, but not particularly well. The main problem in those was shading variance! The left and right blackouts were a full several shades difference in darkness. One was lightly blacked out; you could still see the taillight shape and all WITHOUT the taillights turned on behind the blackout in direct sunlight. The other one, you could not see ANYTHING behind it.
So, in short, AVS SUCKS.

avs does have variance in their product molding that i have seen. they are also cheaper then the nicer sets so you have to expect it in some instances. if they are that bad you should definately ask for a refund as soon as possible or another set. i've seen some that are perfect, but many like you describe.
i had gts on mine at one point and i have yet to run into anyone who has had a problem with them. i'm sure they are out there though, seems like nothing is perfect now days.

When I'm paying $55 for taillight blackouts and $30-something for the headlights, I don't expect variances even if their competitors cost more. $30-$50 is way too much to pay for tinted plastic in the first place.
