This weekend I was putting on a carb spacer and accidently broke the ear off my Holley DP Base plate. I ordered a proform base plate from Summit and after that my car would not idle. I looked for a vaccum leak everywhere, I changed every gasket at least twice including the manifold gaskets. No matter what I did the car went dead lean. Finally I thought maybe it was the base plate itself because I had changed every gasket that I could. The next day I ordered the a baseplate from holley and after I replaced the proform baseplate my car ran fine. I am convinced after reading some of the other posts about proform distributors and rockers that they make crap. Anyone who orders one of their products is taking a chance, their manufacturing is definitely sub par.
