i purchased front a arms a little over 2 years ago and didnt put them on till about 8 months ago. i was shocked when it slammed my car. i have sportline springs on but the stock a arms it sat nice. when i put the spohns on it dropped like 2 inches. i recently found out they did have a problem with that and suposedly fixed the problem. i e mailed them a few weeks ago with a pick to tell them about it and see what can be done about it. my car is not even driveable with it the way it is and its be cause of the a arms. im sad to say i have not gotten any response to the e mail. nothing AT ALL! i like there products and i live near there shop so i get to go right to them to get my parts. im sad to say i might just say f#$k it and take the 400 dollar loss and just never buy there stuff again!

Try contacting them again. Even thought I've ran into several problems, Steve is a decent guy to work with.

I bought those same A arms when they first came out a few years ago. I had the same problem. I called at the time he said it happens sometimes. He said he didn't know why. and that was that. A BS answer. He was of no help. He screwed up the first design and won't admit it. That was about 3 years ago if memory serves me correct.

that's pretty unfortunate but i've also learned the hard way when building cars that you better check your parts. don't order something and let it sit on the shelf unless you know for certain what you have.

so in their defense that was stupid on your part but there is not reason they shouldn't be able to work with you in some respect. they charge a fortune for their parts and claim to be top notch so service should back it.

i was going to do the same and ended up going with bmr, after having similar pieces from every major suspension company that makes parts for our cars i haven't found a company yet that compares with build and price. hope you get it worked out!

I could not disagree more with your statments. He had no reason to think it was a faulty design. Spohn has made some great parts. As it turns out he would not admit to and fix his errors three years ago with me. He won't do it today. So it does'nt matter how long ago he bought it before the install.

I used rubber spring spacers to get the nose high enough to drive it.

wow, another unhappy spohn customer. i've said it before in other posts.... cheap labor, cheap materials, poor engineering, it's common around this area. i too live near the spohn shop, and i never set foot in the shop. i heard too many complaints about their work to even care to drive the 5 minutes to it. that's just me though. real fab. shops in lebanon county, pa is a friggin joke. there's only a handful of shops that actually know what is needed to properly "weld and fabricate."

The only thing I ever purchased from them was the sub-frame connectors and the reason I did was that I had purchased the Hotchkis SFC and the driver side fit perfectly, but the passenger side, you had to alter the exhaust to fit. Spohn's SFC is tubed & fit (on the passenger side) without having to alter the exhaust. The quality was good. I sold the extra SFC's at a giveaway price.

For future reference, if you call, they will sell you 1 SFC so you don't have to buy both of them. Just tell them which one you need.

I have plenty of spohn parts including SFC, LCAs, Panhard, A-arms and have not had a problem until now. But I also may be pulling the trigger on the a-arms alittle too early because I have not given enough time for the springs to actually settle. After they do I will let you know how the car sits, they are only about 2 months old, so hopefully spohn has fixed their botched first design. Also I am happy with the rest of their products so far, so good. Hopefully the arms are good, they don't appear to be shoddy worksmanship or anything...but then again a bad design will screw something up everytime.

Edit : I have not had the a-arms on for 2 months, i got them 2 months ago, they have been on the car for close to a week

This is fairly humorous to me. No one stated how many miles their cars/springs had on them before the installed the new arms. I have a set from another manufacturer on my car. Mind you I did have some modification done to them before I put them on the car. With a 1" drop spring, I ended up about 2" lower than stock.

Well, if the original poster wants to sell them, I am sure plenty of people would be happy to buy them.

Did the stock upper "spacer" fall out and not get put back in??

That isolator, or spacer as you call it, is not really thick enough to make much of a difference. Now the rear isolators, that's a different story.

Strongly disagree. The isolator/spacer is good for an inch if it is in new condition! I put new ones in when I went through the front of my car.

wow ive been absent on here for a while and see i got alot of feedback from everyone.. i am upset about the a arms dropping my front so much. my front fender to ground is about 24.5 to 24.75 inch. its a long slow work in progress so i cant drive it but someday will and would like to be able to. lol.as far as mileage on the springs. there is about 5 miles on them. other then that just sitting on the springs for about 3 years or maybe even 4. but they sat nice with the stock a arms and when i put the spohns on.....holly crap. it slammed.

a little info i found out about these a arms is that spohn had been making... dropped the car about an inch or two... he has since with in the last yr or so redesigned them to new specs or something and i have heard the the newer ones dont do that. just my two cents
