i have bought the kit from momo2004. and when i turn my high beams on they are dimmer then my low beams... why? i have the adapters that came with them. and the adapters get really hot when the high beams are on. i need help.
If you read the rest of this thread, it tells you how to fix your issue.
I bought my gf the h4 upgrade kit off of ebay and i had the flickering problem with it so i bought her the Matrix upgrade harness. Now i installed the harness and im having a different problem. The driver lights come on but the passenger side im having problems with. The high beam is REALLY deam and the Low beam DOESNT come on at all!

whats the prob or has anyone had this problem??
You just need to order the the relays for it. thats what mine did at first. call the maker of the lights and they can tell you more but my driver side was the only one working also so they sent me a relay kit for it and they work fine now.

I picked up a set of these for my hid kit... The light quality is great and the glass lenses are durable... Only complaint I have, is that the rear of the housing is semi thin plastic and over time and heat exposure this could cause some issues... Besides that, they are a great buy and I didn't even have to use the adaptors they supply you with; my hids plugged right in to the stock harness...

can someone please help me with this problem?? why would the lights be doing what they are? she has the matrix wire harness and the driver light work but the passenger ones dont...
It's going to re-direct you to a site called "kbcarstuff", I picked up the 6500k kit... If you do purchase from this site, put "GMT" (stands for General Motors Truck) into the coupon code box and you get $25 off your order...

Jiggle the harness around, sometimes the connections are a lil weak...
well the matrix harness has relays with it... i bought her the whole kit then turned around and bought the matrix harness with the relays and all...
Hmm well the only other thing i did to mine was cut the original headlight connections off and put a newer connection on and i cut the top wire off of the connection on the high beam lights. have you done that.
well i got the harness to work but now theres another problem. Idk if its su[ppose to be like this or not and i doubt it is. I got the harness to work but it stays on the HIGH beams ALL the time, you can flip the switch to change it from high to low and it flashes but still stays on the high beams. Could the relays that came with the Matrix wiring harness be bad??

so wait are the low beams and the high beams on like both housings are lit?? if so i know what to do. im in florida right now though but when i get back ill show you how mine is set up if this is what is happening to your lights.

Your high beam switch could be bad. My car does the same thing. If I switch to highbeams, and try to get the lows back on. The lows will flash but the highs remain on until I mess with the switch a few times.
Sorry if this was answered somewhere within the 7 pages, but I started to lose feeling in my eyes somewhere around page 3...
What bulb are you guys using for your high beams? Are you using H4s, or is there a single-filament equivalent available that fits the same housings? I thought the H1 was the single filament equivalent, but in looking at them last night, they're a totally different shape and won't work in these housings.

Yes the high and lows are both lt up at all times!! the switch is messed up a lil bit cause turning on the blinkers are kinda tricky and to turn on the high beams when the stock headlights were in you had to let the streeing wheels up cause they wont swap over with it down. now the lights wont change at all they stay on high all the time both the high beams are lit and low beams are lit up at all time!!!
Ive read the thread and im considering buying 2004momos headlights, but i think i want to get real hids. im thinking about getting the 8000k xenons should i get the 8000k for both my low and highs?

Yes, I would get matching HIDs, IMO, 8000K are to blue. I started at 4300K and went to 6000K.

I am running 8000K on my car and they are amazing there is no need to get them for you high beams because you will never need to use them. Get the momo kit and use the adapters for the high beams.
Where in NY are you. I got my HIDs from www.gothidxenon.com call them at 347.298.5094 ask for Brian and tell him Glen sent you. He is located in Queens Village and a lot of people from my club have puirchased the HIDs from him and never a problem.
Check us out at (leave out the spaces) w w w . n y t h i r d g e n . com
I want to say yes but I feel you will be wasting your money. All you really need is the conversion for 2 lights and then the housings for the other two.
I dunno about the rest of you that only did the low beams. But the saying goes, "Don't knock it till you've tried it.", applies here.
BTT: Having both the hi and low beams HID is awesome. I swear with the hi's, it's as good, or better, then the 7 100watt KC Highlighters I had on my 78 Blazer. I feel much safer, I can see deer way down the road! Plus HID kits are getting pretty cheap, might as well.
well i got all the stuff in the mail the momo kit and the harness. id thought i just try the momo kit just for the hell of it and they had the flashing problem..no surprise there i guess. Anyways my question is regarding the harness..sorry i may be a moron but what exactly do i do with it

from that website, is that all you need just whatever color/kit you want?
I got a set of the Pilot Halo lights from ebay w/ H4 bulbs. I rec'd 4 lights (2 sets) and 6 H4 bulbs. Don't know why I got 2 extras, figured it was my lucky day. Just testing on a spare battery it's AMAZING the difference in light output. If you are replacing the sealed beams, just spend the cash- it's only a few dollars more than 'el cheapo' sealed beams when it's all said and done.
I also am fabbing up a relay and wiring harness. I might have some extra $$ into it, but I've had 1 electric fire in the past, and see it as cheap insurance since:
1. I don't like fires
2. I don't like fires in my car
3. I don't like fires in my car with myself, wifey, or daughter in it
4. The wiring is 25 years old, and I needed something to spend some more time on.
I got mine on ebay from racing_guys. Slow to get it shipped, but they made it fast when they finally got out.
Also, I didn't need to modify my buckets.....all I had to do was bend the 2 tabs/wings on the back side out so I could fit the wiring harness onto the bulb. Hopefully I'll have the drivers side and wiring done this weekend.

I was going to have Gary over at www.InnovativeWiring.com make me and others for the website a headlight harness for H4 bulbs reaching up to 150W. I am using 90/100W bulbs and will be sending him the APC 4 headlight harness to copy but make better (When I need my headlights in for sure), as right now I'll be driving without them. Just thought maybe dropping him an e-mail, he may be able to do this for everyone. I just got some custom battery cables from him as well. Beefy MF'rs. Great work and quick to assemble and ship. Took him only 2 days to assemble and ship from time of sent payment. Cables coming soon, I will post mine on the thread below.
I liked it over the ebay 2004momo and neondials vendors on the fact that the lamps are cleaner - you can see that mine have like three horizontal "sections" or lines while the 2004momo and neon dials have 5. Also you get a better conversion harness without the need of modifications.
I would love to get these lights in the car. But I think I am going to wait a little while until the price comes down just a little. But man they sure look good. The blue lights look the best.
