HSR fuel line fittings
hey guys i need some quick advice. I went the AN-braided line route for my fuel lines. The fitting between the factory rubber line and my hose end will not quit leaking, I've tried tape, and silicone, even some 5 min. epoxy. Nothing seems to work. What can I try? any ideas welcome.
BTW- it does this on the feed line, the epoxy worked on the return.

Its a little bit of work, a little more money but it WELL worth it...cut your hard lines and flare them to accept AN fittings.
Tube nuts and sleeves work to attach the hose ends to the hard lines. Get -6an tube nuts and sleeves (feed line), -5an tube nuts and sleeves (return line), one -6an connector (two male ends for feed line to 'new' hose), one -5an to -6an adapter (two male ends return line to new hose), four -6an hose ends, and some -6an braided hose. Then connect your new lines and feel great about your project.
I cut mine underneath the car and ran the lines straight to the back of the fuel rails so nothing was on my frame rail. You technically need a 37 degree flare tool that is available at Summit but I've heard people have made the standard 45 degree flares work.

I used the russel 16mm to 8 AN adapter. I'm about to just JB weld the s.o.b. and hope that works. It is the worst feeling to have somthing as little as a leaky fuel line keeping you from driving you car lol.
thanks for the suggestion CamarosRUS, but I hacked off my lines pretty short in my first attempt at rigging up my lines the cheap way, efi hose over the hard lines with hose clamp-complete failure.

This is what I used to adapt the factory lines - worked perfectly:

The factory fitting is called a "Saginaw" fitting, and is not a standard fitting.
If you've cut off the factory end to the soft lines, then this will not solve your problem.

thanks bubba, that was the part i needed, but i used a product called seal all. and it pluged the leak, i was using standard fittings, no wonder. lol
