HSR on my sbc

my projects have both taken a hard left and im looking to combine, the enigne ive built is now going into my other project with hopefully a TKO600 behind it, but i really want to go EFI, ive looked hard and long at the HSR and think it is the way to go, but have some questions on it working with my current combo( brodix IK200's and a comp cams XR 294, 08-443-8 .540/.562 lift, .242/.248 duration @ .050" and 110* LSA. tuning nightmare? or should i downsize the cam, i dont want to go to small because of my intake runner size, i think once tuned w/ a mild port on the HSR and some 36 or 40 lb injectors this thing shoul make lots of power, but i am unsure on the cam, any thoughts?

Re: HSR on my sbc

The standard view is you want 212 LSA minimum with FI.
Comp cams has a good series of "XFI" cams. I have the 280XFI in my 383. It runs good and can be used around town. The 280 or probably the next one up should do the trick for you. The XFI cams have 213 LSAs.

Re: HSR on my sbc

that cam on a 355 will be a challenge to tune but can be done i do believe. i'd still look to get something abit smaller

i have a 286/306 230/245 109lsa on my HSR 383 being '89 MAF sensor run and the tune is liveable. It idles ok but some mild problems i cant quite figure out yet. I'm fairly new to tuning so i'm working on figuring it out, but part throttle and such wasnt too bad.

speed density would be alot harder i'm sure

Re: HSR on my sbc

wats the flow rates on them? they should be ok. i went wit patriot 195cc ported for my XFI280. your heads should be good depending on the flow rates... should be pushing 270cfm intake 200cfm exhaust in the .5-.6 range
