SLP T-RAM injector size?

I had a question for anybody that owns and runs a T-RAM... what fuel injectors work for your car? I took a set of stock 22lb injectors and it looks like it sets the plenum up too high off the gasket. Would Ford injectors work with this set up or will I have to end up "doubling up" on gaskets? Thanks.

Re: SLP T-RAM injector size?

I have run stock 24lb 1989 corvette injectors and 2002 LS1 injectors. The LS1 injectors are a little shorter and need to be pushed back into the fuel rail after reinstalling the upper plenum. I was always afraid that they would leak, but didnt after they were seated. Make sure you use new orings if you use LS1 injectors.

If you have any other questions pertaining to the T-Ram, PM me. I have had mine on my 87 since the late 90's.

Where did you pick yours up?

Re: SLP T-RAM injector size?

The stock 22lbrs will work just fine, just lube the O-rings with petroleum jelly and take your time setting the upper plenum onto the manifold. Have an extra set of hands moving the injectors into the fuel rail while you set the plenum over the injectors. Push the plenum down by hand until it seats the injectors and bottoms out on the lower manifold. Twist the injectors alittle before tightening down the upper plenum. If you have a fuel leak, pull the plenum off and check all of the O-rings on the injectors, one of the O-rings will be torn. The first time I installed the plenum this happened to me, had it off several times since and have not torn an O-ring.

Re: SLP T-RAM injector size?

I have used both LS1 and Ford Motorsport injectors with my T-Ram and have not had any fitment issues.

I second the above advice to "rotate" each injector into the upper plenum fuel rails. Starting at one corner and working out individually works well. Do not draw the injectors in with the plenum bolts as you will end up with cut o-rings and leaks.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your T-Ram.
