so many intakes whats best for my 305?

I have an '89 Lb9 305 tpi and am thinking about modding it a little to push some higher numbers. the only mods I have done is an Lt1 cam and free flowing exhaust. What would be the ideal intake for what I have. What size injectors do you recommend also?

For a 305 probably a FIRST intake.

For your injectors probably just keep your stock ones for now untell you decide to do some engine mods or a blower.

Depends on your long term goals. The TPI was actually designed for a 305 engine, and while you can push more out of it with alternative intake designs, it is inherently limited by hhow much power it can produce. If you just want some good honest power out of it, and are not worried about emissions, try a miniram or stealth ram. It really depends on where you want to go with the build, how much you are willing to spend on a motor with X amount of miles and wear on internal parts. Something to consider before spending lots of money on a motor that won't last long because of other weaknesses.

thanks for the tips! Just looking to up the power a little with as little tuning as possible. So just intake, injectors and maybe some aluminum heads in the future possibly vortec.

go with a stealth ram. I just installed mine and wow does it make a difference up top. You wont be dissapointed. I havnt even tuned mine yet and i am more than happy with what has come of it. Your stock injectors will be fine but if you want to spend the money get 22lb not really necessary.

btw, what year, auto or stick? do you know the head number? 081?

also, if you want to spend 1100 then get the trickflow heads. They make some for the 305 and you can get a good amount of lift out of them if you ever decide to step up the cam.

Re: so many intakes whats best for my 305?

If i come across a cheap stealthram, i'll definitly give it a go. As far as injectors, I have some 24lb injectors, will that be overkill? I'm not sure what the number is on the heads but I'll have to check. The motor is in a '86 regal with a 200r4 auto, but i believe the motor is an '89 and I have bored it over .30 and have an lt1 cam.
