Hello Guys,

I am completing my HSR install in my 1986 Z28 TPI. To adapt the stock fuel feed and return hard line fittings to 3/8 inch fuel injection hose, I have seen the fittings described as:

(1) 5/16" compression fitting to -6 male AN
- (1) 3/8" compression fitting to -6 male AN

Question: I am preparing to order the fittings from Jegs. Can someone share a part numbers, or a more exact description?

For the 5/16 above, is it 5/16 NPT to hose barb??? Or is it an AN fitting?

Any help would be MUCH appreciated guys. Thank you!!!

i got an earls brand fitting and it is a
5/16 compression to male #6

These are the parts I used to make my fuel lines.

You can substitute -6AN rubber hose for the stainless steel I ordered. It'd be cheaper.

(4) SUM-220687 - these are the -6an female hose fittings with 90* swivel ends. These were $12.95ea
(1) EAR-9894DBHERL and EAR-9894DBJERL - These are the straight adapters I used to convert the frame rail hardlines to -6an male fittings. One fits over the 3/8th feed line, the other fits on the 5/16th return line.
(2) EAR-403006ERL - 3ft -6an braided stainless steel hose.

Once thing you could do is go to a Hydraulic hose shop and ask them to make you a set if you give them the specs. It might be cheaper.

I think I spent about $120 on my fuel lines. My total HSR swap was about $650 in 2005.

Thanks guys. Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that the SMALLER 5/16" steel tube was the feed, and that LARGER3/8" steel tube was the return. Do I have that right???

The Feed line will always be the larger diameter. The Feed line is the 3/8th, and the return is the 5/16th.

But the thread is metric I believe. The feed is 16mm, and the return is 14mm I think.

I just ordered my Stealth Ram tonight and I am going to be buying the extra parts for the fuel line connections. My question is really kind of simple but I need an answer so I don't buy more than what I need.

The parts listed on that link you provided IROC5.7, how many of each besides the ones where (2) is shown? Thanks.

Only need one of each except where noted. you only have 1 feed and 1 return line so you only need 1 of each style adapter fitting which are 14mm and 16mm like above said.

Then with 2 hoses you need a hose end for each side. 2 straight ends which connect to the back of the fuel rails and 2 120deg bends for the fittings at the stock hardlines.

now you can substitute 90 deg or 180 deg bends instead of the 120's and just bend the stock hardlines to get them to point in the right direction but as they are stock, the 120's give the most straight angle path back towards the firewall where you will run the fuel lines. 90's would work too if you bend the hardlines upward more to get the fittings to point backward. (90's are cheaper too i believe)

i just cut my rubber hoses where they connected to the tpi hard rail tube near the washer tank, went to a local hyraulic shop and had some -6 jic fittings put on and put on my new braided hoses from it to the fuel rail to my stealthram.
