It looks like you've been busy. I would've thought that in your case you'd want to use as much of the new panels as possbile and cut the remaining metal in the car to make it fit, rather than trim the panels. I guess your way is easier.

Unfortunately...

Unfortunately I had a crash last week and lost a lot of pictures, including the ones of her car. It's really a great color if you are considering it.

the best easiest and quickest way that produces the best results is to spray everything down in your engine compartment with degreaser, you can really use any kind or they do make special engine compartment detailing degreaser. you can get it at schucks pretty cheap and it works pretty dang good you may need one to two cans depending on how dirty your engine is, mabee three but I'd say two to be safe. all you have to do is spray everything down really good, and use a stiff nylon brush on the areas where the grease is thick. let the stuff soak in for atleast a good ten minutes and then spray it down really good with a good hose. then let it dry and repeat if necesarry but don't spray it with the degraser while the engine is wet still cuz it will dillute the stuff and it won't work well. if you have tpi or mpfi you can do all of this as the engine sits since the whole system is sealed and cant really get water in it very easy. if you have a carb you may be be best off taking off the air cleaner and covering the top of the carb with tin foil or some sort of cover if you have it. then cleaning your air cleaner seperately. I got lucky the guy who had my car before me went and found a tupperware dish that fits right on my carb upside down and has a small hole in the bottom that I can use to screw it down over my carb to keep water out for cleaning purposes. it really helps since i have the active cowl which means and opening at the top of the aircleaner. anyway, good luck, and have fun showing off your engines.
