Is tint repair possible?
Sorry if there have been posts about this before, I used the search function and didn't come across anything, so I've been wondering...
I've got a small spot on my rear hatch (which is tinted to 5%) where the tinting has been scraped off. Is this sort of a problem repairable, or will I have to replace it all? I'm looking for a classy job here, so...
Thanks in advance.

Well if your looking for a classsy job, you gonna have to get it replaced.
It could be fixed, but you would most likely be able to tell.

Ya put a few marks on my drivers side door, bottom right. U cant see it, unless u know its there, like me! If i only didnt lock the car with the keys inside, i could of avoided the 3 hour hell i went throught to open the car again. So how do u do it? Fix the tint, and for me nothin special, cause like said its in a spot barely noticable.

Re: Is tint repair possible?
How exactly would I go about doing it? Obviously I'd need a bit of tinting. It's sort of a scrape, but it's only about two inches long. Would I cut out an area around it and then lay the tinting (I assume so)? Should I allow for "shrinkage" in patching the hole, or will it remain as it was originally placed?

Black magic marker on the inside where the scratch is will make a
WORLD of difference. I did this on one of my side windows once,
just to see if it would make any difference. From the outside, it was
completely invisible. Does a great job in a pinch.

Easist would be to cut out a square around the tear and replace that section, making it as clean as possible...
