Pro window tinters: need advice

After 10 years, my pro window tint is starting to bubble in a small area around the rear of my driver side door window.

Is there anything that can be done to help it; slow it; whatever? Or do I need to just have it replaced? Is it hard to strip old window tint? Is there a chance some klutz could screw up my interior or paint with chemicals, etc?

Thanks for any pro's information.

10 years is a pretty good life for tint beacuse 10 years ago tint wasn't as good as it is today. I don't know of any way to stop it from bubbling once it starts.

Old tint is sometimes ard to strip because it will come off in
layers.

As for tinting, most tinters use regular soap/detergent. If you do get your car re-tinted, just be sure to wash your car and give it a good wax job after. Sometimes the soap/detergent they use will get on the outside of the car and may strip your wax/polish. If you don't trust the tinter, remove your door panels yourself. Sometime they screw them up if they need to remove them.

Try popping the bubbles with a needle and pushing it back down. Might work, you never know.

Yeah I heard you can pop the bubble with a pin, get water in it and then squeegee it flat again. It's worth a shot

Thanks, maybe I'll try that. I had thought of that, but the bubbles are really, really tiny. Might just make a lot of visible pinholes......
