Looks awesome man.
I did the same thing to my car. I used the compounds and buffing wheels on a drill, starting at Emery working my way up to the jewelers rouge.
Then I hit them with Eagle One aluminum polish, and they look great.
Good work, I like it

Looks great!! What are those two yellow lines that are on the red part of the light? Is that just a reflection at the sunlight? It isn't noticable in the before picture.

Don't go through all of the work and sand them just so they look 'OK'. Get yourself some plastic polishing compound from Eastwood and presto! Just a quick buff and you're done!

Those Two yellow lines are reflection stripes. You are not suppossed to see them unless light (like from a passing car at night) shines on them as a safty device for oncoming motorists so they don't run into the back of your car.
MD Formula must have used a flash on that one shot.

What I used on my taillights and front turn signals was the most abrasive rubbing compound for paint I had in the shop and HOLY SMOKES it made a big difference. The front turn signals were very cloudy and sun-faded; after using the polish you can clearly see the inner reflectors (like on a new one - but not that clear). The tail lights just seemed to have a much richer contrast - It was well worth while.

edit: make sure you get some before and after pics of your t-tops, thatd be interesting to see the difference, cant wait

Great improvement! I've also done the taillights, t-tops and front turn signals on mine. I'll try to get some good pics tomorrow.
