3. No food, none what so ever, you can chew gum, espesially if you smoke.
4. Drinks, have to be in a sealed container, with a sipper style lid. I allow myself a cup of coffee with same style lid. Girlfriend has lost coffee drinking privledge due to bathing the console in french vanilla on the way to a show.
5. No sex, to prevent damaging interior pieces.
6. Do not, under no circumstances touch the paint. In the event of this violation, a specially trained team(me) will remove any marks, and punishment will be exacuted.

7. Rules 1,3,4,5 and 6 are non negotiable. Any violation of said rules will result in ejection, and bannishment from the vehicle, and possible bodily injury.

i love this guy, so funny.

Well my rules are as follows,

1. When baby is in the carseat she dont get anything to play with besides her sucker(she throws stuff)
2. No eating
3. Drinking is as long as you can seal the top(like this guy said)
4. Dont play with the dew on the windows
5. Dont touch the paint(thats what door handles are for
6. Dont slam the doors(they are old enough why hurt them even more)
7. I have to disagree how can you damage plastic panels with sex

New daily driver is a Blazer, sex is more permissable (more motion) than in a camaro

13 yr old plastic dont like any blunt trauma....i.e..kicking of the feet, supporting body weight...ect..

Dew on the windows, not really a problem, car doesnt come out if its a possibility. However, if such an act de-faces my car like that, bodily harm WILL ensue!!!

BTW, a freind of mine got the keys off me one day, when i heard it start, i turned with the most frightening look on my face. He thought it would be funny to take off for a few. When he got back, he was afraid to get out. Luckily it was hot out, and i hadnt charged the ac yet. He got out, I punched his left shoulder so hard the right one hurt just as bad. He never did that again.

i love this d00d.

One more rule NO SMOKING, i dotn care what you smoke, cigs, pot, crack, anything, no smokeing even near the car. I hate smokers, my dad(biological dad) finally quit after 35 years of smokeing, hasn't had a cig in 2 years, now i will allow him to take a ride, lol...

Ya, I get extremely ticked at ppl sometimes. First week I had my car, I just got it painted . . . My uncle, an ex-camaro guy, wanted to take it for a spin. Well, G0d Damnit! He came back and all I smelled was burnin rubber - my fucGin tires were still warm and melty and I had crap all over the rear of my car. Turns out he went downtown and toasted my tires doing donuts in the parks parking lot and doing that **** to my transmission where, in neutral, you rev it up and slam it into drive!

Me: What in [fudge] were you doing?
Him: Whoa, this thing does awesome donuts!
Me: WTF? What did you say?!
Him: I was down the park doing burnouts and stuff!
Me: [THWAK!] (I punched him in the forehead!)

Well, there was crap tread left and I was mad to begin with (new paint dammit!) so I told him he was buying me new tires. He just walked away like no no. Well, I put his acura on cinderblicks and took off all 4 rims and hid them. I wouldn't let him leave till he paid me! I made out with $600 for that one and ever since then, if anyone drives the car, I'm there and if the Tach goes above 4k you either jump out the window or I'll throw you,

Christ, I take immaculate car of my car...but I don't exactly worship it. A few months ago my girlfriend accidentally put about an inch and a half scratch on my car with a buckle on her belt. She was actually more upset than I was, because I suppose she's well aware of how fond I am of the car. The scratch is deep, all the way to the steel, but it truly didn't bother me.

I just roll with it, baby.

i guess u can say i am, i will let people eat, drink, smoke in my car but i will tell them dont dirty it or leave garbage in it and if u burn a seat u pay for it to be fixed. i dont let people lean on it (only me lol) and i dont let anyone put anything on the body (cup, food, coat ect) dont ever leave my door just hanging open, dont lean on it EVER if door is open, i try to avoid opening the door all the way if possible, and i will always tell people dont slam my door or close it by puching the window. if someone does slam my door i scream at them>i just dont ever want to get saggy doors lol. oh and never let the gas drip on my paint.

Two things I am **** about:

If I let you drive my car, DO NOT move the seat or mirrors, if you can't safely drive the car without moving them, the car isn't meant to be driven by you.

DO NOT leave YOUR trash in MY car. I WILL take the trash and leave it on or in your car or on your front doorstep.

Horror story concerning a female driver:

In 1992 my fiancée who became my first wife, now divorced, drove my car 18 miles with the parking brake on. She stopped at Funkstown, Maryland and called me and said "the brakes are smoking, is that wrong?" I nearly had a stroke from tempering myself...I had to go take a dump right away as I needed instant relief and muttered under my breath for several days after.

Married a gear head of a wife in '98 and things have been much better, but she leaves trash in my cars all the time...then again, she will also wash them when I am slow to do it myself.

Dude, dont hate people cause good stuff happens to them. I didnt pay for all of my car... i did put a few grand down, but my dad helps me with a lot of it. I pay insurance, gas, everything else. Im gettin some bodywork done too that hes helping me out by paying for it. Just because people get stuff for "Free" sometimes doesnt mean they dont appreciate it.

Sounds like an ignorant comment to me...
Outlaw305:

Don't take this the wrong way... The simple truth is that you don't appreciate it as much as someone who had to scrape and save to do something to their car. It's simply not possible. Nobody is saying that you don't appreciate what you have. However, you cannot possibly have the same appreciation for something you had to totally sacrifice for over something that was given to you.

Hope you understand that...

i completely with vextor. but my car was handed down to me for free, and i treat it like i bought it. I am so freggin protective of my car that its almost funny. You prolly never knew i got my car from my 'rents becuase, well, i dont treat it like other people who do get it for free.

Heres my reason behind it,
Since i dont have kids, nor do i want any anytime soon, i treat my car like my baby, there are strict rules around it, and its gotta be clean.

I'm embarassed to show up somewhere with one spot of bird poop on my car. I will go in the house get a wet rag and wipe it off. I wash my car every sunday or tuesday. I wax it when the water stops, uhhh whats the word, beading, i think thats it.

This is my car and i'm am SOOOO VERY PROUD TO HAVE A THIRDGEN.

Rules of my car.

1. DON'T TOUCH MY RADIO.
2. No "Ja Rule or Murder Inc" will be played in my car.
3. NO smoking. Don't even ask.
4. Leaning on is fine if I know you, your clothes are clean, and no
like buttons or zippers are touching the paint.
5. Don't sit things on my car. I hate when people think your car is
a table or bench for luggage.
6. Don't touch the windows.
7. No drinking unless its in a reseelable container, but absolutely
eating.
8. No muddy clothes.
9. Don't complain about my window being down. If your cold, get
a jacket.
10. Don't complain about how fast I'm driving.

Have a nice day

This can be re-read next to the radio.

I had a vanilla milkshake that was leaking over the side sat on my car. And my car is red. I made my friend wash it off. He no longer comes within 100 ft of my car with anytype of beverage.

man wanna hear a nice blonde sotry about drinking in a car,

well it all started yesterday night,

well we were in our big truck dropping off a few of my sis freinds after going to blockbuster
we got to their house and stopped, let them out
my mom suddenly found a soda left from a week ago(we dont drive it but once a week) in the truck
she decided to throw it out the window
well she threw it and, well the window was still up

Thats why you dont drink with a blonde in the car.

Am I **** about my car? Just a little, not like others tho.

My interior is pretty crappy, so Drink is fine, but I haven't ever ate in my car, nor has anyone else since I bought it. If it was something that wasn't messy as far as food, then I'd let it slide, but I don't want no greasy dripping burgers being consumed in my car. Once I re-do my interior, I know all this will change too.

Smoking is a no no! Never gonna let anyone smoke in my car. When I took it to the exhaust shop, the guy had a cigarette lit, then he asked me for the keys so he could pull it on the lift. I looked at him, and told him he'd better put the cigarette down first.

I don't let anyone else drive my car, only one person has since I got it, and it was on a few back streets, maybe 2 miles total, I was in the passanger seat at the time.

The last thing I am **** about with my car is writing on the windows or paint, ya know when the moisture collects and the windows fog. My girl wrote on the window on 2 occasions, the first time seeing me go off about it just wasn't enough I guess. I don't think she will do it again.

Right now, my paint isn't the greatest either, I will occasionally lean against it, as will others, but once I get new paint, I know this will end.

Basically right now I don't freak out much, as nothing is perfect or cherry on my car... but once things are fixed up, my ways will change.

I'm not half as bad as most of you guys. Yet I'm still told that I care too much. I'm sorry, but when I spend all of my savings to buy the vehicle I have waited for, prolly around 3 years, I will be protective. Leaning is fine, but no sitting on it. Rear of the car is off limits to any and all personel exculding me. I gave a kid a ride for a friend, and I took his bag and put it in the rear hatch, then got it out. He wasn't allowed. As for driving it, I will allow others to drive it when it goes back on the road, but only with me in the passenger seat, telling you exactly what to do. Everyone is to stay away from the car without me there. I can do what I want, I paid for it, and am now rebuilding the top end of the engine.

Eating and drinking is okay in thar car, but no smoking. My friend used to smoke alot in my old Ford truck. No problems there, I didn't care about the truck. She just had to have that little window door open. In the car, I got it and told her no smoking. One night we were driving around, as there's nothing to do in this town after 9, and she pulled out her pack. "Can you pull over somewhere so I can smoke?" I pulled over and no problems insued. She knew not to screw with me about my car. She is also more worried about damaging the thing then me! She is also a gearhead. This one has potential. :-)

Normal changes dependging which group you look at. In just his forum, these actions are normal. Consider most of the female population, and I stress most, and it isn't. :-) I'm always normal because I'm off in a world all my own.

Not only does he drive a fast car, he also smokes an excellent cigar. The cigar is of the well known brand Davidoff.
As always with Arnold, it has to be very good. The chicks that smoke this brand....and wear nothing under...are welcomed...ANY-OL-TIME!!....the flavor just lingers and lingers....not to mention the reek of "essence" for days on end... http://insanedomain.biz:hail: :hail: :hail: :hail:

This Is ****

No food. No drinks. Do Not touch the outside of the car (fingers are greasy, but no one ever seems to understand) - the only place being allowed to touch is the key hole. This is where I expect people to close the door. Use the handle to open, but fingers on the underside only.
Do not slam the door. Just because I lean on my car does not give you the right. I do not where stupid **** that is gonna leave scratches.
I do smoke in my car (no window ashing - ashtray only). No one else though.
Hey, what are you doing? "Just checking out the inside, man."
Well you don't have to put your hands all over the windows *******...
I hate people that decide the road needs to be watered by the sprinkler as much as their lawn. Creates puddles.
I carry a buffing cloth in the backseat to 'fix' even the smallest of impurities (ie. waterspot).
I do not park near trees. I park as far away as possible from all other cars (usually when I come out some pos asiental / euro ride is right next to me...) I do not drive on gravel or sand roads.
If it rains (avoid rain driving if I can - if the road is still wet, I'll wait or find another ride if possible), it gets washed.
Just because its called a kick panel, doesn't mean I want to find your shoe marks all over it...
Thats it for today. All I could think of for now. My whole neighborhood gives me a hard time for the amount of time I put into keeping my baby spotless. Even my next door neighbors 12 year old girl is always asking "why are you washing your car again? Isn't it already clean?" Clean to the normal person, but not a car guy like me...

I guess i have a diffrent view. i'm as particular about my car as everyone else. But its a CAR, it is meant to get used, and abused. it gets dirty, big deal, I wash it. and heck, driving in the rain can be a large amount of fun, and somewhat unavoidable in Oregon.

I also don't have to worry about my friends. They have enough respect to NOT do anything that could damage anything. Just I as I do the same in any of their cars. So I do not have a list of rules. I trust that they will treat me and my car in a manner that is respectful. I cannot imagine wilfully spending time with people who cannot grasp the idea of treating someone elses posesions in anything but the most careful way.

I even eat in my car, and let my friends eat in it. (Not often, but if we are on a long trip, i am not going to pull over every time i want to get a drink.) I am a coffee nut, so it is normal to see me with starbucks in-hand.

I'm with dewey, I used too be pretty **** about some of the stuff you guys talk about, but these days im more **** about actually enjoying my ride on the rare occasions it comes out. Only real rule is no smoking in the back seats (wich no one ever gets to ride in except emergencies anyways, and no sitting on my highrise! (but the rs/iroc rear spoiler makes one hell of a comfy seat) Ill let pretty much anyone I know and trust who has a valid drivers license drive it, hell sometimes i get sick of driving and just want to cruise in it. And there are a rare few trusted and respected compatriots who get to drive/beat on it without me being in the car. I love driving my ride but sometimes I like to be on the other side lookin at it while it goes, gives you a better idea of what it sounds/looks like in motion.

My car was wrecked when I got it, and I have done all the body and paint work myself, and it turned out only fair, so I'm not as fussy about it as I'd like to be... I fixed it the first time, I know how to do it better the second time.

...but the point is this, if I ask someone not to lean on my car, and he does it again, he DESERVES to get punched. Firstly because he has totally disrespected my wishes, and the fact that I value my car. If he wants to drive a POS (pile of S#*T) he can lean against that. But also he is an idiot, because I just asked him not to lean on it. Does he think he is so cool that he can just ignore me? Not without a penalty.

I have never had anyone in the car that has not asked if they could smoke in it. I then respond with "OK, lets take a break" instead of "no way you $@#*%&#@!. They usually say "no problem, I can wait". Nobody is pissed, but they get the message. If someone tried to just light up in the car, I would grab the cig and the lighter and fire them out the window. Treat them like they treat you. If they can't handle it, they are not your friend.

I think real car lovers should treat their cars just like their spouses SERIOUSLY! that's how I'm like with my Baby that's been accompanying me everywhere I like for sooooo many years without any complaints at all. That's why sometimes I think cars/bikes are better than wifes that never bitch you out, and cars always goes along your ways/ideas without any grumpiness what do ya guys think huh??

1. i don't smoke, but smoking is okay in my car, as long as i have the ttops off, and you keep you hand out the window when its not in your mouth. and, you blow the smoke out the window. i had to give my supervisor a ride once, and i explained this all to him. he was like "okay, you must really love your firechicken".

2. drinking is okay, as long as you use a straw, and use my cupholders (hurray for 4th gen console)

3. NO eating. if i dont' eat, you can't eat.

4. don't slam the doors, but close them hard enough so that they shut.

5. no sitting on my new seats with swamp *** or if you have rivets on your jeans. then you must use a seat cover under your bum.

6. when i take the car to the beach, all sand must be wiped off body completely.

7. no dirty shoes. i even drive in bare feet most the time or socks. i learned my lesson from the previous owner who drove with salty/snowy shoes. i paid $900 for new floorpans. i'm not going to let the floor pans rot again because of dirty shoes.

8. no sitting on the car or leaning against the car if you have rivets on your pants.

9. no sex in car. things get broken. road head is okay, as long as the mess is cleaned up somehow.

10. no playing any sports or throwing anythign near my car.

lol i just read this whole thread, and i must say its funny even though i have a few rules

1) DONT SLAM DOOR BY THE WINDOW - pisses me off big time
2) Dont slam door period
3) My car is not a toilet, dont fart in it
4) Dont pull the t top handle (my friend did this, i went ape)
5) Eating is fine, as longs as you dont come in with a full 3 course meal, and it cannot be messy
6)Dont Change settings (radio/heat) screw you , im driving, i wanna be comfortable
7) I hate how passengers are in reach of the window buttons
8)When i drive with more then 2 people and they get upset cause of the backseat size, well then walk moron, all the leg room you want outside
9)How a girl literally kicked my door closed and thought it was funny, then got mad at me when i peeled out and sprayed her with snow
10) My power locks dont work great, so I have to lean over and unlock it manually, and the person keeps pulling on the door handle - For some reason i just wont unlock it after that
11) When I miss a turn, and I go "darn" then someone says "dude, you missed the turn" Like thanks dumb ****
12) Watch your zippers
13) When a girl rested her high heels on my front, to adjust them
14) SAME GIRL was lying/sitting in the seat and her high heels scratched the part just below the dash, I wanted to take the high heels an just throw them
15) how morons dont get the concept " no, we arent there yet" does it lok like we are?!?!
16) When people dont follow rules

there are much more, but yea, it almost maddens me when i even think of these things

When I had a new paint job I was pretty **** about it. However for the past year and a half I had to park the car on the street and my paint got so beat up that now I'm not too **** about the leaning and such. I'll just be sure to keep an eye out if they have something that can damage my paint even more.

My inetrior wasn't in the best shape when I got the car and still isn't so the food and drink thing isn't an issue as long as it isn't anything too messy.

I've only let one person smoke in it and that was when I had the t-tops down other than that ....no

I've let only a few people drive it. My little brother because he was curious about it for about a block with me in the car. One of my best friends who is a car buff and a lot more **** about his car...and another fellow third genner.

I actually have pretty reasonable friends. So I haven't had many of the experiences you guys have had. Most my friends are either car buffs too that they just know or they're polite enough to ask about something. I guess I lucked out.

I'm pretty calm and composed in general, but one thing did **** me off once. My car must of only been painted like a week or two before I gave this girl a ride. I parked near a high curb and while I was opening my door I told her to wait that I'd pull out a little because the door would hit. She didn't listen...she just brushed it off said it wouldn't hit and just opened the door on the curb. The whole bottom of my door just scraped and it was stuck. I couldn't even lift the door to break it loose. I had to actually drive the car and let it scrape some more to break it free from the curb.

This will all end when I finally restore my car how I want it and the ability to have it garaged. I will be a little more concerned about my paint and interior and such. However like I said I guess I lucked out with my friends because none have ever done anything stupid besides that girl.

Ill have to say my number one is people slamming my doors. Also 1 time my ex had to have a large coke and i told her to be careful what do u know she picks it up by the lid and gets coke all over my gray seat and carpet. 1 time i was at a party came outside and some fat girl was sitting on my front bumper i thought i was going to explode.

The answer to the question is YES, you're all a bit ****, more than a bit actualy. Being **** is an illness, being proud of being **** is insane.
You guys have shrines, not cars. What fun is it to have to worry about your car all the time? My car is so fast that everyone who gets a ride either pukes, $h!ts or bleeds so what's the point? I wipe it up and go on with my life. Scotchgard helps too. I keep my interior clean and replace broke stuff, that's about it. The outside has dents and dings but the car looks good.

Yup. I'm like that too. Nobody does ANYTHING in my car. And I do not drive people places, unless I absolutely have to. Many people dont realize that my doors dont pop like new hondas, so they pull the handle to get out, and nothing happens, so rather than just pushing on the door for it to open, they decide to oull on the handle with all their might. one of these times it's going to break.

But my close friends understand this, so I dont mind driving them places at all.

As far as sitting on the hood goes, I'll allow it, but only if you're careful, and dont have any buttons or anything that could scratch the paint.

And I hate it when people complain about the ride height.

edit: on yeah, one more thing. ARGH! Dont freaking close the door by the G0D DAMN WINDOW!

Im ****........it drives everyone crazy but if I wasnt my car would more fuc#ed than now.I hate when passangers dont retract the seat belts and especially when they do retract it they whip the belt around and if the passenger door is open it could slam on the exterior paint.I do construction work and workers I give rides to after work just get in without at least dusting themselves off.I usually make them walk home when that happens.I smoke in my car but thats an exception cuz thats my car, when my friends want to smoke I dont let them and they get mad,oh well.

Be careful where you park at grocery stores because the person parked next 2 u usually likes to put there **** on top of your roof while they open there car,how conveniant

2 of the ones ive completly flipped on people for are a beer bottle on the roof of my car as well as things like people just tossing their jacket on the car zipper side down. Leaning against the car is also a HUGE nono cause most jeans have a button on the back, i SCREAM at people when they lean on my car

rules to my whip:

-dont touch anything without permisson

-always retract seatbelts all the way back and leave the clip 2 inches below the seat belt holder(when the clip is touching the holder it makes all kinds of noise while I drive and drives me nuts)

-as u all know ,no leaning on car or anything on car

-lock doors manually because I dont want my power lock buttons to fade

-backseat passengers:no stepping on door sill, careful with the plastic covers for the seat tracks on the floor, and put seat belts the way you found them.

Argh I just broke one of my own rules yesterday. I had 3 girls stuffed in the back seat. I made them take their shoes off and stuff, but it still really bugged me.

But hey, what could I do?

keep a blanket behind the back seat and always park in a well lit area so people can see what you are up to

When I have a front passenger, I don't like for them to rest their elbow on the console.

Someone rested their elbow on it once and I can almost still see where the bony elbow left an indention mark.
