Tint removal
Ok my rear window was tinted 5% by the prev owner .. It looked cool .. except for it was purple. So i ripped the tint all off and now the whole window is full of this stick adhesive crap. I tryed Krud Kutter and it works ok but it still takes a lot of rubbing to get it off, and thats a big *** window it would take forever lol. Any suggestions on how to get it off easier?

i used a sponge/water, and a razor blade when i took mine off, and most of the time the tint as well as the adhesive came off all at once, but in some spots they didn't. It's going to take some time good luck...

razor will work unless you have a defroster lined across the hatch, Do not user a razor in that case! You need stronger chemicals is what you need. Start with some stuff called miniral spirits, which can be found at walmart, hardware stores, home depot, even the 99 cent store, grocery store, umm basically its everywhere. This is good stuff to take off the goo. IF! That doesnt work, something much more powerfull is called asatone, this is found at walmart and others, but not a grocery store or cheap place. CAREFUL! with this stuff.. Its very strong, Yes! it will take the goo off, but make sure your in a well ventalated area because its strong stuff. Before you use it on the whole hatch, try a little spot where its not noticeable, clean that spot really well with it, let it dry, give it a few minutes and make sure it doesnt fog up the glass. Since its glass, I wouldnt think it would. OH! And dont get this stuff on anything else because lol it will even melt plastic.

3m adhesive remover
asatone can also pull the color out of stuff (bleach it), very harmful stuff if it gets outta hand..
try 3M's adhesive remover, that what we use in our shop. found it works better then asatone on meany adhesives, also less harmful to everything around it

Thanks guys, I have a defroster and i used a razor extremely carefully to get the tint itself off. I think we may have mineral spirits here .. if not ill try the 3m stuff.

I went through this a while back...
The easiest thing to do is use Windex or something like that and also use a hair drier. The heat from the hair drier makes the adhesive not so adhesive
