Snow Bird
Well winter has finally arrived!! Not bad for our first snow fall of the year. Living in south west indiana, snow doesn't usually fall like this. We got nailed with almost 20in of snow. Last snowfall of this magnitude for our area was on the late 70's before that it was the around 1918 (so i'm told).
I would have pulled it into the garage but I have a friends dodge intrepid in there for a motor replacement.
Anyone have a car cover for their fbody? I thought of getting one for the winter "hybernation" but I didn't want to get one that would allow moister to seep through. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking it's too late for a car cover now! lol. That's crazy how high it's piled in the 2nd pic. Look at the wheel wells in the 2nd pic vs. the 1st pic. It appears that 20" of snow has replaced a hacksaw as the cheapest method of lowering an f-body!

It doesn't bother me much that the bird was left out. I am most certainly not going to be able to drive in this anyway. Plus my wife is off of work until next year (plant shutdown) so I get to 4wd in the explorer.
My bro had a car cover that he said was just good for a "dust" cover. Are there different grades of covers? I thought they all would repell water??

I got the day 1 snow cleared when I came home from work, got the car out of the yard, then stuck at the bottom of the driveway and ended up saying, f-it... let it get buried. Much shoveling the next day just to get back to the car.... (night shot from the house before the 2nd wave started to hit)...

it's crazy how much snow we've gotten here deadbird. especially since were all not used to it.
I never even attempted to get the bird out in this. fbody's as daily drivers aren't great in this time of the year. Ive had several winters in my bird, getting stuck and losing it in a ditch (my dad did that one. ). Im glad that I don't have to go through that this year.

I got a cover from california car covers, cost a bit but supposed to keep out 99.9% of all percipitation. worked real well when my car was outside for a month or two. but now it sits inside and cover just keeps dust off.
