Blew-by-you your car looks amazing, what size spacers are you using in the rear? Also what kind of hood is that?

Thanks Karl! I believe they are 1.25" but I'd have to dig for the receipt. The hood however, is the Jongbloed, or 'Sunoco' hood. Hawks is the only place I've ever seen it and it has been one of my favorite modifications.

Considering others, me included, have even wider tires tucked under the fenders....No, you don't "win".
I saw your other thread with all the hater posts. While I don't like the looks of your car & how it reinforces the "trailer trash" view of our third gens......It is YOUR car, not mine. Only you have to like it, not me.
But as is obvious in your other thread....Just be ready for a lot of Hater posts here like in your other thread.

I respect the "tucked" look. But I honestly think you guys that are HARDCORE TUCK lovers, need to take it easy. When a tire is .5 inches further out than stock it does not constitute the THOSE STICK WAAAYY OUT comments. IMHO when you stay stuff like that, you sound very close minded. Remeber we are MODing our cars. If we want them stock then 99% of us would not need to be on this website. IT IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK DIFFERNT.
Anyways, now that I got that off my chest. I will post a pic of my tires now. Ther are 335's on 11" rims, mounted to a stock width moser 12 bolt. I am happy to say that I DO think they stick out too much, but once I put 315s on there, they should be fine.
And I do not think it looks white trashy at all. I was going to go through a ton of work to try and get them to tuck more, and everyone that I have shown that liver around here (Needham, MA) have told me to not touch them. People say it looks mean. So I will run these till they wear out. Then go with 315s (goodyear eagle G1s) I think they are called.
here is the pic and I will put on a racing suit to help protect me from the flames.....fire

Some really nice looking cars here... love the wide look
Guys who are running spacers on the fronts (think I read its about a 2" to get it out to be flush with the fender) do any of you suffer any wear on the bearings? or had any problems?

MKKNIGHT: I've had no problem using the front spacers (2") and I've been running the ZR1's for 6 years.
Thank you, I have the same problem! No sound clip but here is a few snippets patched together:

Re: Fat Tires...Post Em
thanks zipacna, ya I'm just finishing it up. hopefully I'll have it started by the end of the week. I'm hoping to be somewhere in the 600hp range on the dyno here at a local shop that does tunning. i did everything my self and wow it was a job but worth it and fun. it has flaws but for a relatively newbie to wrenching and painting i think it came out pretty nice. everyone who has seen it in person has dropped there jaw after they see it lol i even painted bolt in this car lol my last one is the orange camaro, you could say i like flashy paint jobs lol

Where did you buy yours? Those are the same tires and size I am going with on the front of mine. I found them at Discount Wheel Warehouse for $406 for the pair.
Here are my 295/35/18s I am putting on the rear of the car. May get the rest of the tires sooner than I expected.

I set my Craigslist app to let me know when any 295, 305, 315r18 tires come up haha! $75 is a deal too!

Re: Fat Tires...Post Em
$75 is a deal, right now the highest bid for the Mustang Bullitt wheel is close to $50 with a lot of time left...if I sell this wheel at $50 then technically I paid $25 for a 295/35/18 BFG G-Force KDW2...I downloaded the app you were refering to and am waiting and hoping to find what you did. I heard these tires are discontinued though. At least that's what Kauffman Tire said.

Resurrecting this thread since I never got to add my photos while the trend was hot. Also because I don't think this would be a bad thread to resurrect
Back before the "transformation" of my car with stock wheels. 275/60r15.
Same car after the "transformation" with aftermarket wheels. 275/50r15.

Thirdgen wheels on a 4th gen axle... yep...
Makes your car look like its pigeon toed... Probably a nice car, but the wide axle with skinny tires look is just awful. It's almost forgivable if you're running 11 inch wide wheels but thats about it.
And Firedemon, you really did an amazing job on that car.

Absolutely badass! Can you tell me where I can get that rear spoiler? Can you show me a picture of the rear view complete? Also, whats the correct rim size you use?
