Too Skinny Out Front?
So Im pretty much decided on getting a set of wheels from cragar these . They only come in either 7.5" or 9" width.\ for an 18" wheel. I am going with a 9" wheel in the rear but I was wondering if 7.5" would be too skinny for the street. The car is daily driven. It wont be seeing a road course any time soon. Hopefully the dragstrip this summer. So what do you think? 7.5 too skinny for the front or just fine?

8" is pretty skinny up front. that's pretty expensive for cragars but not bad for an 18". out of curiosity any reason why you don't want to save slightly more and get a 2 piece wheel that would fit directly to your car in the width you want? what is another 2-300 overall to get exactly what you want in the end?

Why would you want/need anything wider on a daily driver up front?

my "opinion" run some 17x8's w/ 245's up front and some 18x9's w/ 275's in the rear it will give the car a slight "raked" look even thought it is sitting level....
I run 17x8's and 17x9's....
Also did you realize the 18x9 is the wrong Backspacing UNLESS you have a 4th gen rear / wheel spacers ?

Bah, no I had not realized these things. Kandied, can you give me some exmple of the 2 peice rims for around the same price. My biggest deal was that I wanted to stay under 2k total for rims and tires.
I dont want to run spacers so those cragars are now out of the question. Its a daily rain or shine driver so i wanted to go with chrome wheels. Problem is i only really like the 5 spoke designs, and half of them out there look terrible in my opinion. So if you got any ideas, shoot em out there. It never hurt to look.

I had some 17x7.5's up front once and I HATED THEM!!! They handled fine but they were just too damn skinny for me. It would bother me when I looked at the car so I replaced em' with 17x9.5's
