chrome headlight bezzelss

Over the summer I spray'ed my healight bezzels black so they wouldnt look all faded and junky. I was wondering though if anyone has ever chromed them? I think it might look kind of cool.

Your thoughts?

Not anymore than a chrome bumper would. I'd stay with the black though, I just repainted mine last summer.

There was a "magazine car" way back in the late 80's early 90's that had chrome headlight bezzelss, It was a yellow "pro street" car owned by one of the major manufactures I forgot who? But it looked really awsome and I wouldn't mind doing it to my car, but I think I'd have to change from the late model plastic bezzel to a earlier model metal bezzel. I say go for it..

You could probably try that "chrome" spray paint just to preview it. But I would stay with the black because it blends in more. And sometimes no news, is good news.

I got mine from the boneyard. I took them off a mid-80's olds and took them home and cleaned them up and they look really nice. It's a small detail but it's those that make the difference.

Nothing like having show chrome......Look Above.......What a difference then the Autozone or factory look....it's all about preference and how you want to separate yourself from the rest.

I think that vert above would look a million times better with 91-92 GFX and an inch drop then it would be a show stopper. Right now it looks kinda jacked up and retro with that (IMHO) hideouse front GFX. I hate the litttle holes. But obviousely there is a ton of great work put into that car. Great job.

The Pro-line spring just went on this weekend with my Strange Engineering 12 bolt, LCA and LS1 Rear Brakes, plus I just got the Corvette Front Z06 Calipers coated and that upgrade will be comming soon. As for the 91-92 GFX I personally do not like them so that why I bought the orginal NOS replacement.
Here is the picture of the on going winter project:

I had the driveshaft custom made here in Chicago, I copy the specifications that Strrange, Denny and Spohn use then brought it to his shop and let him build the shaft, I save a lot of money doing it this way. The tube .083 Chrome Moly 3" with Spicer 1350 U-joints front and rear, Spicer 700R4 Trans Yoke and Rear Pinion Yoke. Mig welded, with a run out less than .005 @ 6500 RPM's.

Looks great. Is that POR-15 on the axle. I used POR on mine. I still am waiting for my brake lines in the mail. Also deciding on brakes now?

LS1 or those C5s......You think the C5 stuff is worth it? or is LS1 fine?

LS1 and C5 Calipers are the same, just that the C5 has a bigger rotor for the rear. My front C5 will have 13" Power Slot Rotors.

Do you have picture of the inside hood where the Locking Pins was Installed. I will be adding mine in this weekend but have not been satisfied on the location. A picture of the hood locking pins would be appreciated.
