Can anyone ID this cowl?

Check out the thirdgen on this page:
http://www.superchevy-web.com/free.shtml
Does anyone know who makes that cowl or have the SuperChevy that talked about it? I love the look of that hood. I thought it was a goodmark, but they don't have the middle ridge in them.
Thanks everyone!!

If this is the hood you are talking about I believe it is the same as the one that is on the bad *** looking yellow Camaro with the black stripes. The yellow car has a 4" cowl hood and the one in this pic has a 2" I believe. If I remember correctly it is made by VFN.

Actually there was another one in Camaro Performer called silver streak that was better IMO, a brighter silver on the bottom and bright navy blue top half seperated by a red stripe, prettry nice lookin, I'll post pics when I get to the scanner next. When I get silver stripes I'm gonna use that color, who cares if it's off an acura

My old cowl hood had that same center ridge but it was a US Body Source hood.

yeah, and ASCD's has a ridge in it too I noticed. I wish I could find the article in super chevy, but I'm thinkin it might be ASCD because that's waht they used on the Project Silver Streak in Camaro Performers only I think they used a 4" on that instead of the 2 1/2". Oh well, maybe I'll figure it out by next summer when I can afford to get it

That car needs to be lowered - and by God get rid of those spinners...thats just wrong on those rims! I really liked the rims on the Silver Streak though. It was a bad@$$ car all together..

The article on that first silver camaro (not silver streak) says that the hood is from eckler's. Eckler's says that they used to make that hood, but they no longer do. I wanted that exact one, and they told me that maybe they sold the mold to harwood, but probably destroyed it. I could not track down that hood anywhere. I even tried going online and finding the guy who owned the car, the article gives his name and city, but i couldn't find him. The steel hood from goodmark looks NEARLY identical to that one though.

jm91rs, I have been trying to get that hood for a long time, but i did end up going with the goodmark. I just read the first post and 86zrichie says that there is no ridge in the middle of the goodmark hood, i have a large ridge in the middle of mine, the only obvious difference between the two hoods is steel vs. fiberglass. Go to http://in.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/canada/80 TARGET=_blank>http://in.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/canada/80[/URL]</A> you can see some pics of my goodmark. I think you should be able to see the middle ridge no problem. I would post a pic if i knew how. If you wanna know more about that car, i have the Camaro Performer's mag that it was featured in. I would say that finding that exact hood would be nearly impossible though, i tried.

Jm91RS-
I stand humbily corrected. I didn't look close enough at the pic of the bare metal hood. The example car they show has that ridge painted white to seperate the stripes and doesn't show up well. Well i guess I'm just gonna have to settle for a rough approximation of that hood. One question for ya though, does the goodmark hood come in more than one height and what are the heights? I'm thinkin of going with ASCD cause I only want 2-3" rise, but if they make one in that range I'd rather have metal since I'm not concerned with weight since it's not gonna be run down the 1/4 mile.

All of Goodmark's hoods are 2" or 2-1/2" high.

Well, i believe that they call the goodmark hood a 2" hood, but it is actually what i would call 3". I only wanted like a 2.5 " and i first thought man, 2" is too small. Then i measured it and thought, man 3" is too big. But there is no way to tell unless you paint it and put it on the car. I think mine looks perfect.
