Clear parking lights!
I figured it would get more notice here than in a "I can't find..." thread in the Body and Interior section. Aftermarket clear parking lights are now available for 85-92 camaros! Here's the link: http://www.racerwheel.com/rt101101.html
Here they are installed on my car...
Everyone should get a set. They look 100x better than stock.

camaroguy21, what bulbs are you running in your H4 conversions? Do your headlights put off a ton of heat? How is the beam pattern?
Those clear park/turn signals look awesome, thanks for posting pics. If you have a chance, and get more pictures, could you post them as well?

Thanks for the quick replies guys. The headlights I bought off e-bay and I'm running the bulbs (blue ones ) that came with them. They don't put off that much heat though, and the beam pattern is excellent.
That's the only picture I have for now. Batteries ran out. Five minutes after that picture was taken the car was covered with four layers of tree pollen. Oak trees. I'll try to post some more pictures later this week.

I'll be tied up for the next couple days plus the car will need a bath, but I should be able to get you guys some more shots late Thursday. Trust me though, you will not be disappointed in the appearance of these lights.
Oh, shipping was $10.

are those bulbs removeable or is it sealed?
If I had some of those I would like to get the bulbs with the silver coating so you don't see the yellow but that is still a huge improvement

They are removable, and the bulbs your're looking for are the silverstar replacements.
As for putting these lights on an 82, I believe you'd have to switch to a 85-92 front bumper cover. That's what I did on my 84', but then again my bumper cover needed to be replaced anyway.

I have similar parking lights but mine are homemade! I am surprised to see someone making them in the aftermarket. They seem to be of good quality but I am also going to have too see some more pictures......

i got mine today but they don't fit. apparently sport coupes without ground effects have a different size parking lights. just another reason to get ground effects now, they look pretty nice though.

Sorry about not getting more pictures sooner. TGO went down and then I went on vaction. Here's one for now.. I'll try and get more up soon but cardomain is going so slow right now.

Are you certain the bumpers are different on an 87 SC? I had a little trouble getting mine to fit as well. Try flipping them around and putting them in at different angles. Good luck.

yea you should have researched a little more to prevent that problem. All sportcoupes have a different front bumper - thus giving them smaller parking lights (you can tell by those three inlets on the middle part)....just swap for a 85-90 (z28/iroc) bumper and you'll be set

update your front end to a 85-up. you could probably pick one up hella cheap. and those lights are way cheaper than getting new replacement ones from the dealer i paid 95 bucks for mine about 2 years ago.

I could get a pic for you of the entire car but it would probably make me cry. I was driving down the interstate last week during rush hour doing 70mph. Someone's hubcap shot from two or three lanes over like a missle bounced up and hit the nose and the base of the hood. As it flew back over the car it just barely missed the windshield and roof. Needless to say, they will need repainting. I'm not sure if I'll just have the hood and nose done, or if I'll have the car completely repainted. Regardless, I will most likely not keep the heritage stripes on the hood. I'll definately have some white incoperated on the scoop though. I'm also going to finally have the car lowered. As soon as both of these projects are finished I'll post plenty of pics of the car. You can look forward to seeing pictures of my interior soon though. There will be one thing in my install that will in my opinion, drastically improve the look of a thirdgen F-body's interior.

Just some advice, if you are going to have the hood and front bumper repainted, then do the whole car. If you can afford it, then you'll be much happier. They can always try to blend the new paint into the old, but it won't quite look right. Trust me, I know from experience! As far as the pics I asked for, I'm wanting to get a set of those park/turn signals for my car, but I need one more view of yours showing both from the front to make up my mind. If it's not too much trouble, I'd really appreciate it!

All right, so it's time for me to buy a new bumper and front side panel.. Since I love hese lights, and the look of the newer front ends, I'll update it to an 89 or whatever..
Do the newer front ends just copnnect like normal? Are there any gaps on the sides where the front fenders are and such? Hood lceranaces?
SO, essentially I'm asking, is it a direct swap on my 1982 Z28 to a post 85 front bumper?

Headlight Conversion
Hey I am going to be buying the headlight conversion off ebay tonight, the one that replaces your sealed headlight into a H4 headlight. After installing these i will be putting HID's in the casing. My question is the H4 bulb is a hi/lo beam bulb while stock we have one low beam and one high beam bulb on or cars so i will have 4 low beams and 4 high beams now?
If anyone can clear this up for me i would greatly appreciated it
