Painting over chrome?

Engine: AFR ELIM 195s,280xfi,58mmLt1 Intake
Transmission: 2200stl,700r4 shift kit,vette servo
Axle/Gears: 28 spline, 3.42 gears, SLP Posi
Painting over chrome?
might be getting some cheap chrome valve covers since the ones i have now wont fit over roller rockers.

Can i paint over the chrome?

How would i go about to do this?

find a place that does powdercoatin or chroming and have them strip the chrome off. or find someone with a sand/media blaster to ruff the surface up.

What's wrong with chrome valve covers? Leave them they look good

not a huge fan of chrome under the hood...wheels yes...as long as they arnt any bigger than 17's. the design under my hood is going to be liek the design on the outside. Black plastics and everything else either black or med garnet red.
