Prices for Chrome Plating

I have a Edelbrock "Smokey Ram" (SY1) intake manifold that has been partially polished, therefore, not restoreable to its original condition..Does anyone know of a plater that will charge me an arm and a leg to chrome the manifold? Advanced Plating quoted me a price of $600.....I think it was because I told them it was a "Smokey Ram" and they interpreted as beng a true "ram" type intake, which it isn't.....It is more like a Dual Quad off set 69 Z28, but it is a single 4 barrel....any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks guys!!!

600 dollars for one piece, what exactly is this piece? do you have pics.......that's a lot of money. just to give you an idea, to do standard valve covers, most places around me charge around 35 dollars for plating, a tpi intake is like 65 and intake runners are about 45 a piece, kinda wish i would have chromed all my pieces; i decided to ceramic coat mine instead.......was told it would last longer, but it's more like polished aluminum then chrome (wish it shined more!)

but if it's that expensive, maybe you might want to consider ceramic coating, it looks pretty sharp when it's clean and it doesn't chip or fade. o'well, just a thought
