Redoing Rims

My car has the original rims on her and they could use some redoing. Anyone have any ideas?

Lots of sanding, get some waterproof 800, 1000, 1500, and 2000, aswell as a drill, buffing wheel, and some finishing compound with no wax. Start at 800, get all the CNC lines out, move to 1000, so on and so forth. Then buff it out with the finishing compound and the drill, it should turn out good. I'm doing a set of Iroc-Z rims, and the look really good once those CNC lines are out. After you get it all done, wash them off with some grease/wax remover and use Rim Clear Coat on them. Should be better than new.

WETSAND! WETSAND! WETSAND!, I agree alittle to what kevman is saying, accept I would start even lower which is what I did, and work your way up from there. I just finished redoing my iroc rims, it took me about 2.5-3hrs a rim and it was all by hand (wish I had a dremel or mouse). I went 150, 220, 320, 400 then 600 & finally killed it with an 800 grit (by this point I had one or two less layers of skin on my fingers ) and i finished with a little polishing and some blue magic, that stuff is great.
The rims came out real awesome when they were done. What a difference they made After I did the front pass. side I put it back on and just compared it to the back, it was like night and day, now they shine real nice in the sun
