Finally done with everything i needed for my car before paint, hood, body work, ground effects. Just cant decide between red or black so SHOW YOUR PICS!!! help me decide.

Black is DEFINITELY the way to go man.

just a thought, black will show more flaws then red will due to its "deeper" shine so if its your first time doing body work you may want to go with red.

also you probably already know this but theres a sticky somewhere called "what color to paint" got some nice colors in there.

im really liking this though

The Black one I just bought. The Red one I sold a few years back.

I like the Black (the red flames are a nice touch) with the red interior.

HAHA!! thanx guys for the pics, getting her prepped tomorrow, paint weds. Pretty much if you go with black that body has to be perfect or those minor infractions will show. So i will just suprise myself. Pics will be up as soon as its all done.

That firebird! Which rims exactly are those and is that factory color? What color is that. That bird looks perfect. I dident think I liked corvette rims on these cars but those look excellent!

Can't be a properly detailed black car.

I wish I had a dollar for everybody that told me I should paint my car black....it aint gonna happen. It seems that a vast majority of 3rd gens get painted black no matter what color they started out. A black car that is clean looks amazing.....but, it shows dirt, dust, road grime, etc... very, very easily. I've had a couple of black cars and I'll more than likely never have another one.

I say go with the red. I'm also biased.....

I think they are C6's, competition gray, 18/19 combo. i think they are a dealer item. Someone on here was selling the exact same set fo 500.

Just could not decide between Red or Black.
So.....I chose both RED and BLACK ( and a little silver for good contrast).

I couldnt decide either so I did both as well.

I'm getting the windows tinted tomorrow and I figure i'll do a full porter cable swirl remover/polish/wax detail pretty soon so I'll be posting pics up after each of those.

Claybared, then Polished (with a porter cable) with Optimum Polish on an orange pad, then followed up with Optimum Polish on a white pad. Then applied Clearkote Red Machine Glaze with a black pad. And finished it off with 2 layers of Pinnacle Souverän Carnauba Paste Wax by hand.

Once you go black...you never go back..

It's factory red. And yes, they're stock C6 competition grey wheels. Found them in the back of the parts room. 18x8.5 and 19x10

I think red demands a little more attention...but black looks amazing on thirdgens as well!
